PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act, 1947, the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 943, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 922* (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 18th day of October, 1948.

The principal Order is hereby revoked in its application to jam manufactured by H. J. Walton, Ltd., that is packed in 16 oz. glass jars.

The Building Construction Control Notice No. 27
PURSUANT to the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939 and the Building Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby require and direct as follows :—

This notice may be cited as the Building Construction Control Notice No. 27.

Clause 13 of the Building Construction Control Notice No. 26* is hereby revoked, and the following clause substituted :—
“13. Except with the precedent consent of the Building Controller, no person shall use copper tube (new or second hand) for any constructional work otherwise than as piping for conveying hot or cold water within a building.”

Manufacture of Footwear
H. E. Simpson, 15 England Street, Ponsonby, Auckland, has applied for an extension of his existing licence to permit the manufacture of women’s shoes by the cemented process.
Pharmacy Industry
Orakei Consumers Co-operative Society, Ltd., Orakei, Auckland, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Kepa Road, Orakei, Auckland.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
H. H. Hohneck, Kaiaua Road, via Pokeno, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at Waihihi, seven miles north of Kaiaua.
W. T. Blackmun and Son, Ngahere, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed in the open yard of garage premises at Ngahere.
S. J. Ottrey, Medway Street, Gore, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the kerbside at garage premises at Medway Street, Gore.
W. R. Tootill, 2 Olea Road, Onehunga, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from three pumps to be installed on garage and service-station premises at 2 Olea Road, Onehunga.

A. E. J. Church and Co., Thames Street, Oamaru, has applied for permission to shift one pump from its present position inside garage premises at Thames Street, Oamaru, to a site outside in view of passing motorists.
H. E. Ogle, Carrier, Okaihau R.M.D., Bay of Islands, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed in an open yard at premises at Rangiahua.
M. J. Prendeville, 23 Bassett Street, Burwood, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed at store premises at 23 Bassett Street, Burwood.
H. Vincent and Co., Pongakawa, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed outside garage premises at Pongakawa.
A. C. McClandish, Methven, has applied for permission to shift one pump from its present position inside garage premises at Methven to a site outside in view of passing motorists.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 28th October, 1948, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.
