HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to section forty of the Statutes Amendment Act,
1946, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by James
Eden Hore, of Naseby, Farmer, of the land described in the
Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of section one
hundred and seven of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 300 acres, being Section 9, Block XII,
Kyeburn Survey District, and being all the land comprised and
described in Renewable Lease No. 347, registered in Register-book,
Volume 193, folio 18 (Otago Registry).

P URSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment
Act, 1945, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by John
Sydney Riddiford, of Pukeatua, Martinborough, Sheep-farmer, of
the lands described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the
provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Featherston County,
situated in Blocks XIV, XV, Huangarua Survey District, containing
by admeasurement 396 acres 3 roods 27·6 perches, more or less,
being Gethsemane (Kehemene) Reserve, Sections 5 and 7C; and part
Ngawaka-a-kupe 2B, and being the whole of the lands comprised in
Certificates of Title, Volume 166, folio 185, Volume 202, folio 243,
and Volume 206, folio 164 (Wellington Registry).

Authorizing David William Oxnam, of Murchison, Farmer, to Use
Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to David William
Oxnam, of Murchison, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee),
a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use
from the Mole River (hereinafter referred to as the said stream) situated
in Section 4s, Block IV, Matakitaki Survey District, in the Land
District of Nelson, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, a stream
of water not exceeding two cubic feet per second at any one time.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-
power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935
shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except
in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934,
and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference
Regulations 1934, and to any regulations made or to be made in
amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of
generating electricity up to a maximum capacity of 3 kilowatts and
shall be taken from the said stream at the point in Section 4s,
Block IV, Matakitaki Survey District, indicated on the plan marked
S.H.D. 43, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of
the State Hydro-electric Department.
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions
hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the
purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being
indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 43 :—
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam and intake with a water-race
leading to the power-house, hereinafter referred to,
giving a static head of approximately 20 ft. :
(b) A Pelton wheel and power-house with all necessary equip-
ment for generating electricity :
(c) A tail-race leading from the aforesaid power-house across
Sections 4s and 3s, Block IV, and Section 2s, Block III,
Matakitaki Survey District, and into the Matakitaki
River.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (d)
of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and shall
be a direct current system.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner determined, this licence shall continue in force
until the 31st day of March, 1969.
- RENTAL
For the purpose of assessing the annual rental payable in respect
of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-
demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of
the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such installation,
the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of
the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 3 kilowatts.

Authorizing Todd Motor Industries, Limited, to Erect Certain Electric
Lines in the Borough of Petone

At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of
October, 1948

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant, subject to the conditions
hereinafter set forth, a licence authorizing Todd Motor Industries,
Limited, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act,
1933, and having its registered office at Petone (hereinafter referred
to as the licensee), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the
electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
THE conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical
Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations
1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence,
except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions
hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the
licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical
Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference Regulations
1934, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification
or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a)
and classified under paragraph (j) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical
Supply Regulations 1935. The system of supply classified under
paragraph (j) shall be a three-phase four-wire system with a generating
voltage and transmission voltage of 250 volts between phases and
a frequency of 200 cycles per second.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue
in force until the 31st day of March, 1969.
SCHEDULE
ELECTRIC lines adapted for the supply of electrical energy, as pre-
scribed in these presents, commencing from the switchboard in the
licensee's factory building situated in Lots 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and
part Lot 19 on D.P. 10134, being part Section 2, Hutt District,
in the Borough of Petone, and proceeding thence across McKenzie
Street to the licensee's other building situated in Lots 6, 7, 8, 9,
and 10 on D.P. 10134, being part Section 2, Hutt District. As the
same are more particularly delineated by means of red lines and
blue lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 42, deposited in the office of
the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.
