A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
set apart for defence purposes; and I do also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirteenth day of
September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart : 2 acres
2 roods.
Being part Lot 8, D.P. 5165, being part Allotment 4I, Waipareira
Parish.
Situated in Block X, Waitemata Survey District (Auckland
R.D.). (S.O. 34837.)
In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 127579, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 31st day of August, 1948.

of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by
section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land situated in the'Borough of Picton, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 acre and 8.98 perches, more or less,
being parts of Section 1149, Town of Picton. As the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5420,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 3906.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State
forest.
SCHEDULE
Nelson Land District.-Nelson Conservancy
At'that area in the Nelson Land District, Imangahua County,
containing by admeasurement 273 acres 2 roods, more or less,
and being Section 7, Block VII, Waitahu Survey District. As the
same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 120/45, deposited
in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. (Nelson plan S.O. 7966.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this lst day of September, 1948.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State
forest.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.-SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County,
containing by admeasurement 1,429 acres 0 roods 31 perches, more
or less, being parts of Sections 2 and 3, Block VII, Lillburn Survey
District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the north
by the Lillburn Valley Road ; towards the east by Section 1,
Block VII aforesaid ; towards the south by Section 8, Block VII
aforesaid, and permanent State forest (Gazette, 1935, page 3571) ;
and towards the west by Section 4, Block VII aforesaid. As the
same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 200/II, deposited
in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this lst day of September, 1948.

Borough of Otaki, of a Width Less than 66 ft., but not Less than
50 ft., Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
September, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
P URSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby authorize the Otaki Borough Council to permit the
laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto
of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, subject
to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any
time be erected on Lots 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and
the south-eastern side of Lot 8 of a subdivision of the land fronting
the said street (as shown on the plan referred to in the Schedule
hereto) within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of
the said street, or on Lot 7 and the north-western side of Lot 8
of the said subdivision within a distance of thirty-five feet from
the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, Borough of
Otaki, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 36.8 perches, more
or less, being part Taumanuka No. 1 Block, and parts Lots 44
and 45, D.P. 4384, being part Taumanuka No. 1 Block. As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
127591, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured red.
