A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of August, 1948.

Road traversing Maori Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block III, Kapiti Survey District, Wellington Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land:
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Maori Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Maori Land Act, 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 1 acre 2 roods 3·6 perches.
Being part Ngarara West B Block, situated in Block III, Kapiti Survey District. (S.O. plan 21413.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/3078, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3005, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of August, 1948.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £5,000 by the South Canterbury Catchment Board and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of August, 1948
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the South Canterbury Catchment Board (hereinafter called the local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section thirty of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, to raise a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000), to be known as “Plant Loan No. 3, 1948” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of purchasing plant:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of five thousand pounds (£5,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:-
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be eight (8) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of August, 1948
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the Wairarapa Catchment Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section thirty of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, to borrow the sum of three thousand six hundred and sixty pounds (£3,660), by a loan to be known as “Plant and Transport Loan, 1948” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of purchasing plant:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of three thousand six hundred and sixty pounds (£3,660), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:-
