NOTICE is hereby given that by extraordinary resolution of
the shareholders of Pacific Sales Company Limited, dated the
29th day of July, 1948, it was resolved:
"That, by reason of its liabilities, the company cannot continue
its business, and that it is advisable to wind up voluntarily."
At a meeting of creditors of the company held on the 30th day
of July, 1948, HOWARD WILSON KING and LEWIS NATHAN ROSS,

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the
Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Oamaru Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest
and other charges on a loan of twelve thousand seven hundred
pounds (£12,700), authorized to be raised by the Oamaru Borough
Council and called 'The Conversion Loan Repayment Loan, 1949,
of £12,700,' the Oamaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one hundred and forty-one one-thousandths of a
penny (0-141d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis
of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of
the Borough of Oamaru; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall
be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day
of July in each and every year until the last maturity date of the
debentures securing the said loan, being the 1st day of January,
1954, or until all such debentures are fully paid off."
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of
the Borough of Oamaru was hereunto affixed at the office of and
pursuant to a resolution of the Oamaru Borough Council in the

NOTICE TO CREDITORS TO PROVE
THE liquidators of Pacific Sales Company, Limited, do hereby
fix the 31st day of August, 1948, as the day on or before
which creditors of the company have to prove their claims or debts
and to establish priority (if any) under section 258 of the Companies
Act, 1933, otherwise they may be excluded from the benefits of
any distribution made before such claims or debts are proved, or,
as the case may be, from objection to such distribution.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Huntly Borough Water-supply Renewal Loan, 1948
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Huntly
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £8,400, authorized to be raised by the Huntly Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act, for redeeming at maturity
the outstanding liability in respect of the Water-supply Loan, 1937,
£14,360, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one and decimal two seven pence in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of
Huntly; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st
day of July in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid
off."
