Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licences under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Pharmacy Industry

D. W. J. Hansby, 52 Clarence Street, Hamilton, has applied
for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at the corner of Heaphey
Terrace and Howden Street, Fairfield, Hamilton.

Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

Felt and Textiles of N.Z., Ltd., C.P.O. Box 848, Wellington,
has applied for permission to transfer a machine-room at present
located at Picton to a new site at Trentham.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry
on these applications should, not later than 5th August, 1948,
submit any written evidence and representations they may desire
to tender. All communications should be addressed to Acting-
Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

The Standards Act, 1941.—Specification declared to be a Standard
Specification

New Zealand Standards Institute,

NOTICE is hereby given that on 14th July, 1948, the under-
mentioned specification was declared to be a Government
purchasing standard specification by the Minister of Industries and
Commerce pursuant to section 8 of the Standards Act, 1941:—

N.Z.S.S. G.P. 1: Red Lead Paint for Structural Steel Work.

Cancellation of Teacher’s Certificate and Registration as a Teacher

T is hereby notified that the Teacher’s Certificate and registration
as a teacher of David Wylie Bews is cancelled under the
provisions of section 17 of the Education Amendment Act, 1924.

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public
Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments

TO the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that
parcel of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being Allot-
ment 363, Block VII, of the Township of Normanby, bounded
on the north by a public road (125 links), bounded on the west
by Allotment 362 (200 links), bounded on the east by Allotment 364
(200 links), and bounded on the south by Allotment 366 (125 links),
and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 2,
folio 199 (Taranaki Registry).

And also all that parcel of land containing 32 perches, more
or less, being Allotment 136, Block XI of the Township of Normanby,
bounded on the north by Allotment 135 (200 links), bounded on the
west by a public road (100 links), bounded on the east by
Allotment 153 (100 links), and bounded on the south by Allotment
137 (200 links), and being part of the land comprised in certificate
of title, Vol. 2, folio 199 (Taranaki Registry), the registered pro-
prietor of both the said parcels of land being Elizabeth Allen, wife
of Charles Allen, of Normanby, Hotelkeeper.

Whereas, after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described
land cannot be found: And whereas the said owner has no known
agent in New Zealand: Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon
such owner, within six months of the date of the publication of
this notice in the Gazette, to establish to the satisfaction of the
Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if he fails or neglects
to do so the Public Trustee will exercise as regards the said land
the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public
Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.
