Waihi Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 15th July, 1948.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Pukehina Subdivision of the Waihi Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land included in the Central Subdivision the general rate described in the Second Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the Kaikokopu Subdivision the general rates described in the Third Schedule hereto, such respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance-costs for the period 1st April, 1948, to 31st March, 1949.

The amount of the general rates will be payable in one sum on 30th August, 1948, when the annually recurring special rates already made and levied will also be payable.

The valuation roll and the rate-book of the district will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Land Drainage Engineer's Office, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and copies of same may be inspected at the office of Mr. H. W. Earp, Clerk, Kaituna River Board, Te Puke, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

FIRST SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES
Pukehina Subdivision
CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, twopence and forty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (2-48d.) in the pound.
CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, one penny and one-tenth of a penny (1·10d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES
Central Subdivision
CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, sevenpence and eighty-one one-hundredths of a penny (7·81d.) in the pound.

THIRD SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES
Kaikokopu Subdivision
CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, sevenpence and thirty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (7·38d.) in the pound.
CLASS B.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class B, fivepence and seventy-four one-hundredths of a penny (5·74d.) in the pound.
CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, threepence and twenty-eight one-hundredths of a penny (3·28d.) in the pound.

Kaitaia Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rate described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area outside the Kaitaia Town District the general rates described in the Second Schedule, such respective rates being for the purpose of meeting maintenance-costs for the period from 1st April, 1948, to 31st March, 1949.

The amount of the general rates, together with the annually recurring special rates already made and levied, will be payable in one sum on 30th August, 1948.

The valuation roll of the area will be available for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer's Office, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Chief Drainage Engineer, Kaitaia, at all times at which these offices are open for the transaction of public business.

FIRST SCHEDULE
Town Subdivision
General Rate

On the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District, ninety-seven one-hundredths of a penny (0·97d.) in the pound.

SECOND SCHEDULE
RURAL SUBDIVISION
General Rate

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, eighteen pence and fifty-three one-hundredths of a penny (18·53d.) in the pound.
CLASS B.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class B, sixpence and forty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (6·49d.) in the pound.
CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, twopence and seventy-eight one-hundredths of a penny (2·78d.) in the pound.

Poukawa Drainage Area.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 15th July, 1948.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Poukawa Drainage Area, the general rates described in the Schedule hereto, such rates being for the purpose of covering for the period from 1st day of April, 1948, to 31st day of March, 1949, the cost of administration of the said Act, including the maintenance of works constructed under that Act in the said area.

The amount of the general rates will be payable in one sum on 30th day of August, 1948, together with the annually recurring special rates already made and levied.

The valuation roll and rate-book of the area are open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer's Office, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Post Office Building, Napier, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE
GENERAL RATES

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the person appointed to classify lands under section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, ninepence and ninety-four one-hundredths of a penny (9·94d.) in the pound.
CLASS B.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class B, one penny and sixty-six one-hundredths of a penny (1·66d.) in the pound.
CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all land so classified as Class C, thirty-three one-hundredths of a penny (0·33d.) in the pound.

Rangitaiki Land Drainage.—Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates

Wellington 15th July, 1948.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to meet maintenance-costs for the period 1st April, 1948, to 31st March, 1949, as described in the Schedule hereto.

The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on 30th day of August, 1948, together with the special rates already made and levied.

The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer's Office, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Land Drainage Engineer, at Thornton, near Whakatane, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business.

SCHEDULE

CLASS A.—On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed under section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, fivepence and thirty-one one-hundredths of a penny (5·31d.) in the pound.
CLASS B.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, threepence and fifty-four one-hundredths of a penny (3·54d.) in the pound.
CLASS C.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and seventy-seven one-hundredths of a penny (1·77d.) in the pound.
CLASS D.—On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class D, fifty-nine one-hundredths of a penny (0·59d.) in the pound.
