Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946.-Appointment of Member of Napier Port Committee
PURSUANT to the Waterfront Industry Emergency Regulations 1946, the Minister of Labour doth hereby appoint Douglas Alfred Irwin to be a member of the Port Committee for the Port of Napier, vice Harry Hardaker.

Appointment of Honorary Officers
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, Frederick Hackett, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to be Honorary Officers for the acclimatization districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1950.

THE Public Service Commission has made the following appointments in the Public Service:-
Office of the Public Service Commission, Wellington, 19th January, 1948.
Archibald Stanley Hughes to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, on and from the 5th day of December, 1947.
Leonard Armstrong Downs to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Dairy Industry Act, 1908, on and from the Ist day of December, 1947.

Special Order made by the Hauraki Plains West Drainage Board subdividing the Hauraki Plains West Drainage District and fixing Representation

THE following special order made by the Hauraki Plains West Drainage Board is published in accordance with the provisions of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and amendments.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 16 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, by section 3 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1908, and by section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act, 1920, the Hauraki Plains West Drainage Board hereby resolves, by way of special order, as follows:-
" The drainage district as extended and defined by Order in Council dated the 30th day of January, 1946, is hereby subdivided into four subdivisions, to be called the Ngatea-Pipiroa Subdivision, the Waitakaruru Subdivision, the Puhanga Island Subdivision, and the Miranda Subdivision, and that the boundaries of such subdivisions be the respective boundaries set out in the Schedule hereto; and that the number of trustees to be elected for the Ngatea-Pipiroa Subdivision shall be four trustees, and for the Waitakaruru Subdivision shall be one trustee, and for the Puhanga Island Subdivision shall be one trustee, and for the Miranda Subdivision shall be one trustee.
" SCHEDULE
" Boundaries of the Ngatea-Pipiroa Subdivision " ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the County of Hauraki Plains, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block X, Thames Survey District, where the left bank of the Piako River meets the Firth of Thames; thence running in a southerly direction generally up the said left bank to its junction with the northern end of the eastern side of the Puhanga Canal; thence southerly generally along the said eastern side to a point in line with the north-western side of Phillips Road ; thence south-westerly generally along a right line to and along the north-western side of Phillips Road aforesaid to its intersection with the north-eastern side of a public road at the southern corner of Section 1, Block V, Waihou Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of the said public road, crossing two intervening public roads, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 33, Block IV, Piako Survey District; thence again south-westerly along a right line across the said road, to and along the northern boundaries of the said Section 33 and part of Section 31 of the said Block IV, and a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Waitakaruru-Makoro Canal; thence northerly and easterly generally along the middle of that canal, to and along the right bank of the Waitakaruru Stream, to and along the shores of the Firth of Thames to the point of commencement.
" Boundaries of the Waitakaruru Subdivision All that area in the Auckland Land District, in the County of Hauraki Plains, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block X, Wharekawa Survey District, where the right bank of the Waitakaruru Stream meets the middle of the Waitakaruru-Makoro Canal; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of the said canal to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Section 31, Block IV, Piako Survey District; thence along a right line, being the production westerly of the aforesaid boundary, to the middle of a public road running along the western bank of the said canal; thence south-easterly along the middle of the said public road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 84, Block IV, Piako Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the said north-western boundary, the north-western boundary of Section 40, and the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, both of Block VIII, Piako Survey District, to the south-western corner of Section 3 of Block VIII aforesaid; thence along the centre of a drain through Section 2 aforesaid to a point on the south-western boundary of that section, 630 links from its north-western corner; thence along that boundary and a right line across a public road to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block III, Piako Survey District aforesaid; thence along the generally north-western side of that road to the southern corner of Section 33 of Block VII, Piako Survey District aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern side of another public road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 33, 34, and 9, Block VII, Section 3, Lot 1 of Section 1, and Section 14, Block III, both blocks being of Piako Survey District aforesaid; along a right line across another public road, to and along the north-eastern side of the public road passing through Waitakaruru No. 1 B 2A No. 2 Block, and a right line, being the production of the north-western end of the last-mentioned roadside, across railway land, and another public road to its northern side; thence along the nothern side of that road and a right line, being the production of its western end, to the middle of the Pokeno-Paeroa Main Highway; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of the said main highway, and a right line, being its production to and along the right bank of the Waitakaruru Stream, to the point of commencement.
" Boundaries of the Puhanga Island Subdivision " All that area in the Auckland Land District, in the County of Hauraki Plains, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block II, Waihou Survey District, where the left bank of the Piako River meets the northern end of the eastern side of the Puhanga Canal; thence easterly, southerly, and westerly generally along the said left bank to the southern end of the eastern side of the Puhanga Canal; thence in a northerly direction along the said eastern side to the point of commencement.
" Boundaries of the Miranda Subdivision " All that area in the Auckland Land District, in the County of Hauraki Plains, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block VIII, Wharekawa Survey District, being the western corner of Lot 3 on D.P. 21822, and being part of Waitakaruru Nos. 4A and 4B Blocks, and running north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said No. 4A Block, being a right line across Lots 3, 2, and 1 on the said D.P. 21822, to a point on a public road, bearing 305° 21' distant 591·3 links from the easternmost corner of the said Lot 1; thence along a right line across the said public road, bearing 49° 36' 40" distant 103·2 links, to the westernmost corner of Lot 4 on D.P. 25055, being part of Waitakaruru Nos. 4A, 4B, and 3c 1 Blocks; thence along the north-western boundary of the said Lot 4, to and across a public road, and along the north-western boundary of Lot 6 on the said D.P. 25055, being part of Waitakaruru No. 3c 1 Block, to the shore of the Firth of Thames; thence south-easterly along the said shore to the right bank of the Waitakaruru Stream at its mouth; thence south-westerly generally along the said right bank to its intersection with the middle of the Pokeno-Paeroa Main Highway, and along the middle of the said main highway to its intersection with the production south-easterly of the south-western boundary of Ngarewha No. 1 Block; thence north-westerly generally along a right line, to and along the said south-western boundary, and along the south-western boundaries of Ngarewha Nos. 2B and 2A Blocks, Waitakaruru Nos. 1D 1, 1D 2, 1A 2c, 1A 6, 1A 5, 1A 3B, 1A 3C, 1A 3D, 1A 3E 2, 1A 4B Blocks, Lots 4 and 3 on D.P. 26678, being parts of Waitakaruru Nos. 3A 2, 3B, 3c 2, and 3c 1 Blocks, Lot 4 on D.P. 16095, being part of Waitakaruru No. 3c 1 Block, and Lot 4 and part of Lot 3 on D.P. 21822, being parts of Waitakaruru Nos. 3c 1 and 4A Blocks, to the point of commencement.
