Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public
Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II) and its amendments
To the owner of the following land, that is to say : All that parcel
of land containing 35 acres 3 roods, more or less, being part
of Section 140, District of Hokonui, and being the balance of
the land comprised in Vol. 20, folio 266, of the Register-book
at Invercargill, the registered proprietor whereof is the New
Zealand Agricultural Company, Limited, which is believed to
have been wound up in 1909.
WHEREAS, after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described
land cannot be found :
And whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand :
Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within
six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette,
to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to
the said land, and if he fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee
will exercise as regards the said land the powers and authorities
granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II),
and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the sanction
of the Local Government Loans Board given on 15th April, 1948,
a poll of ratepayers was taken on 9th June, 1948.
The number of votes recorded were as follows :-

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected, and I have
given public notice of the result of the poll by advertisement in

Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
E.R.Roberts, Victoria Street, Hawera, has applied for an extension
of his existing licence so as to permit the manufacture of infants'
shoes, sizes 3’s to 9’s, by the cemented process.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
D. S. Ellison (by Maltby and Lusk, Solicitors, Tauranga),
has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from two pumps
to be installed outside proposed garage premises opposite the
junction of the Waihi and Otumoetai Roads at Judea, Tauranga.
R. V. Löbb, 10 Omata Road, Westown, New Plymouth, has
applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be
installed outside proposed garage and service-station premises at
the corner of Tukapa Street and Sanders Avenue, Westown.
Pickering Bros., Mangere Motors, Massey Road, Mangere,
have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from pumps to be
installed outside garage premises at the corner of Massey Road
and Thomas Road, Mangere.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry
on these applications should, not later than 8th July, 1948, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.

Town Lands in the Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable
Lease
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 21st June, 1948.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are
open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act,
1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District
Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o'clock a.m. on
Friday, 23rd July, 1948.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday,
27th July, 1948, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable
to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any
Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the
first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
