Lands set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to
the Land Act, 1924

A PROCLAMATION

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recom-
mendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being part of a
provisional State forest reserve, set apart by Proclamation dated
the nineteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-five, and gazetted on the twenty-third day of that month,
is required for settlement purposes ; and, in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act, such lands shall, from and after the day
of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and
shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL those areas in the Bay of Islands County, containing by
admeasurement a total of 286 acres 3 roods 34 perches, more or less,
being part of Section 6, Block I, Motatau Survey District, and part
of Section 12, Block IV, Punakitere Survey District, as shown on
the plan numbered 34507, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor
at Auckland. As the same are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 4/806, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged
red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 16th day of June, 1948.

dated the fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty, and gazetted on the eleventh day of that month, is required
for settlement purposes ; and, in accordance with the provisions of
the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting
hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject
to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 536 acres, more or
less, being portion of Section 2, Block XIII, Ruawhia Survey
District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the south-
east by Rerewhakaitu No. 1A No. 2 ; towards the south by the
southern edge of the bush ; towards the west by Section 1, Block
XIII aforesaid ; and towards the north by Rerewhakaitu No. 1B
No. 2B and No. 1B No. 2A. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 8/1/12A, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 16th day of June, 1948.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908

A PROCLAMATION

W HEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (herein-
after referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land
described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved
for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such
recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and
subject to the provisions thereof.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 81, Suburbs of Tuakau, situated in Blocks IV and VIII,
Onewhero Survey District : Area, 5 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more
or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1948.

W HEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (herein-
after referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land
described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved
for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such

of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1948.

Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in the
Westland Land District

A PROCLAMATION

W HEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion
of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes :

And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic
purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon :

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Frey-
berg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section
eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby
revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described
in the Schedule hereto.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 28·6
perches, more or less, being part Reserve 1195, situated in Block
XIII, Wataroa Survey District, and bounded as follows : On the
north by Section 3025, Block XIV, Wataroa Survey District, 443·1
links, on the east by other part of Reserve 1195, 571·3 links, and on
west by a public road, 581·8 links. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 581A, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1948.
