Proclaiming a Tribal District under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section six of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, and to subsection one of section fifteen of the Maori Purposes Act, 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the parts of New Zealand described in the Schedule hereto to be a tribal district for the purpose of the said Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act, 1945, and do hereby assign to the said district the name “Rotorua Borough Tribal District.”

THE ROTORUA BOROUGH TRIBAL DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being the Borough of Rotorua, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of 1946, at page 1085.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of June, 1948.

Amending a Proclamation taking Land for Railway Purposes in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Schedule to the Proclamation dated the eleventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 43 of the sixteenth day of the same month at page 1055, taking land for railway purposes in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District, and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that the land taken for railway purposes shall be that described in the Schedule hereto.

Situated in Block XIII, Waiho Survey District, Westland County.
In the Westland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6102, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of June, 1948.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
2 acres 1 rood 26·4 perches.
Being part of Lot 1, D.P. 12250, being part of Rural Section 161, City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7880.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126824, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 10·5 perches.
Being closed road adjoining or passing through Hauturu East No. 2A Section 3B Block.
Situated in Block VIII, Orahiri Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30820.)

PURSUANT to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 1 acre 0 roods 10 perches.
Being part S.G.R. 102; coloured blue.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ROAD CLOSED
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 1 acre 1 rood 36 perches.
Adjoining Lot 3, D.P. 3832, being part Kaiwaka 2B Block, and Section 4; coloured green.
All situated in Block X, Maungaharuru Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 2247.)
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126570, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
