and along the said north-eastern boundary to the north-western side
of Bennett’s Road; thence north-easterly along the north-western
side of Bennett’s Road aforesaid to the shore of Rotorua; thence
south-easterly generally along the said shore to a point in line with
the south-eastern boundary of Tahererauti No. 2 Block (Ohinemutu
Pa); thence along a right line, being the production north-easterly
of the aforesaid boundary, for a distance of 71·44 links bearing 46°
1′ 40″; thence south-easterly along a right line for a distance of
2599·54 links bearing 115° 49′ 30″, and southerly along another
right line for a distance of 215 links bearing 180° 1′ 42″ to the original
lake shore at the boundary of the Municipal Reserve; thence again
south-easterly, southerly, and north-easterly along the shore of the
said lake to the westernmost corner of Owhatiura Block, in Block
I, Tarawera Survey District; thence northerly along a right line
to Trig. Station Q on Mokoia Island, being the point of commence-
ment.
Ngongotaha-Awahou Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station 27
(Puwhenua), being the eastern corner of Block VII, Tapapa East
Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line in the
direction of Trig. Station 146 (Te Weraiti), being the western corner
of Block IV, Opoutihi Survey District, to its intersection with the
production of a right line between the north-eastern corner of
Section 2, Block XI, Waihi South Survey District, and Trig. Station
1039 (Otanewainuku) in Block XVI, Otanewainuku Survey District;
thence easterly to and along the last-mentioned right line through
the said Trig. Station 1039 (Otanewainuku) to the middle of the
Kaituna River, being a point on the boundary of the Paikiao West
Tribal Committee Area hereinbefore described; thence southerly
along the western boundary of that area to Trig Station Q on
Mokoia Island, in Block XIII, Rotoiti Survey District, being a
point on the boundary of the Whakaue Tribal Committee Area
hereinbefore described; thence westerly along the northern boundary
of that area to its north-western corner; thence northerly along the
right line between Trig. Station 807 (Uraura) in Block VII, Ngautuku
Survey District, and Trig. Station 27 (Puwhenua) to the last-
mentioned trig. station, being the point of commencement.

Notice under the National Savings Act, 1940, Section 4
Wellington, 24th May, 1948.
IN terms of section 4 of the National Savings Act, 1940, I, Walter
Nash, Minister of Finance, hereby prescribe that the ninth
investment period shall run from the 30th June, 1948, to the 30th
June, 1949.
The rate of interest to be paid on investments made during
such investment period shall be 3 per cent.
Moneys invested during such investment period by deposit in
an investment account shall be repayable on the 30th day of June,
1951.
Provided that where interest is not withdrawn in terms of
section 8 (2) of the said Act and is added to the principal moneys
of the investor, such amount of interest, together with interest
thereon, shall be repayable on the 30th day of June, 1949.
National savings bonds issued during such investment period
shall be repayable five years after the date of issue thereof.

Notice under the National Savings Act, 1940, Section 5
Wellington, 24th May, 1948.
IN terms of section 5 of the National Savings Act, 1940, I, Walter
Nash, Minister of Finance, hereby authorize the trustees of
the undermentioned savings-banks (being savings-banks consti-
tuted under the Savings-bank Act, 1908) to receive investments
by way of deposits in investment accounts under the National
Savings Act, 1940, during the investment period expiring on the
30th June, 1949:—
Auckland Savings-bank,
New Plymouth Savings-bank,
Dunedin Savings-bank, and
Invercargill Savings-bank.

Retention of Title of “Honourable”

to approve of the retention of the title of “Honourable” by
the Honourable Sir Archibald William Blair, Kt., lately a Judge
of the Supreme Court of New Zealand.

Exemption Order under the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940,* the
Minister of Transport doth hereby order and declare that
the provisions of clause (1) of Regulation 7 of the said regulations,
so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall
not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof
the following provision shall apply:—
A motor-driver’s licence issued under the Motor-drivers Regu-
lations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule
hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the
course of his employment on a farm or market-garden of the
respective employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule,
but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen
years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regula-
tions 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel
to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to
the Department during the undermentioned period.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I
hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of
Mount Roskill, taken on the 22nd day of May, 1948, on the proposal
of the Borough Council to borrow the sum of £73,000 for the purpose
of building a municipal block to comprise Council offices, public
hall, and furnishings and equipment therefor—

The number of votes for the proposal was .. 444
The number of votes against the proposal was .. 325
And I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

the Schedule hereto has been declared closed and revested
in the owners of the land found entitled thereto by an order of the
Maori Land Court at Taupo on the 18th day of March, 1947, pursuant
to section 490 of the Maori Land Act, 1931.

ALL that area of public road in the Auckland District, being portion
of the road passing through or adjoining Tauhara Middle No. 4A
No. 1J No. 1B No. 1 Block, situate in Block X, Tauhara Survey
District. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan
lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, marked
P.W.D. 112798, and thereon coloured green.
