TRACTOR LOGGING AND ROADING COMPANY, LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed
by the shareholders of the above company on the 22nd
December, 1947:—
"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that DOUGLAS
EDWARD SOUTHWICK, of Rotorua, Public Accountant, be appointed
liquidator of the company."
Any person having a claim against the company is required
to supply particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the
31st January, 1948, otherwise they may be excluded from participa-
tion in any distribution of assets.

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers' Dwellings Loan, 1947, £4,300
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of four thousand three hundred pounds (£4,300),
authorized to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing Lot 9 of
Section 27B, Lytton Street, and erecting thereon and on Lot 80
of Section 33, Old Taupo Road, dwellinghouses for Council employees,
the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of decimal one nought two pence (0·102d.) in the pound on the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets and Footpaths Surfacing Loan, 1947, £30,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Rotorua
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000), authorized
to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of sealing carriage ways and foot-
paths in borough streets and resealing portions of borough streets,
the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one decimal one one five pence (1·115d.) in the pound on the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Rotorua;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 232 (2) of the Companies
Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a general meeting of
the shareholders of the above company (in liquidation) will be held
at the office of Messieurs Brodrick and Parcell, Solicitors, Melmore
Street, Cromwell, Otago, on Friday, the 30th day of January, 1948,
for the purpose of laying before the said meeting the liquidator's
accounts and giving any explanation thereof, the affairs of the
company having been fully wound up.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE SEWERAGE EASEMENT OVER LANDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council
proposes to execute a certain public work—namely, the
construction of a sewer rising main or mains from Marewa Park
to the Napier Borough sewage-collecting tanks at Hardinge Road,
Port Ahuriri, Napier—and that for the purpose of such public
work the easement set forth in the First Schedule hereto is required
to be taken over the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands
over which such easement is required to be taken and the line of
such easement is deposited in the office of the Napier Borough
Council, Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection (without
fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of the easement over such lands who have any
well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the easement over the said lands must state
their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days
from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Napier
Borough Council, Tennyson Street, Napier.
THE FIRST SCHEDULE
FULL, free, and perpetual right, liberty, and license to lay, maintain,
and inspect a sewer rising main or mains with the necessary apparatus
for the purpose of conveying sewage through, under, and across
portions of the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto
along a strip six feet (6') wide, the centre-line of which is shown
coloured red on the plan deposited for public inspection as above
mentioned.
THE SECOND SCHEDULE
Portions of Te Whare-O-Marama Block, being parts of Lots 188
and 100, Deposited Plan 6598, portions of Ahuriri Lagoon Reserve,
being portions of land owned by the Napier Harbour Board, portions
of Crown land, portions of the Napier-Gisborne Railway, portion
of the Westshore Embankment Road, and portion of Lot 1,
Deposited Plan No. 6313, being a strip six feet (6') wide, the centre-
line of which is shown coloured red on the plan deposited for public
inspection as above mentioned.

THAMES VALLEY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other
powers (if any) it therunto enabling, the Thames Valley Electric-
power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges on the Redemption Loan,
1948, of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the Thames Valley
Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of purchasing, constructing, and providing electric works,
as defined in the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, in order to
supply and to extend the supply of electricity within the whole
of the Thames Valley Electric-power District, the said Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny
(½d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property in the Thames Valley
Electric-power District, as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming
the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the
8th January, 1920, at page 12, excepting the area excluded by
Proclamation appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 6th
September, 1923, at page 2318; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or
until the loan is fully paid off."

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Drainage Loan No. 2, 1947, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch Drainage
Board hereby resolves as follows:—
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized
to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconstructing Horner's Drain
and the Ferry Road storm-water sewer outlet in concrete, the said
Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of three five-hundred-and-twelfths of a penny (3/512d.) in the
pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in
the Christchurch Drainage District as at present constituted, and
as may be extended or reconstituted from time to time; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March
in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a
duly constituted meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board held
on the 25th day of November, 1947.
