Picton–Waikawa.—All that road or portion of road in Marlborough County commencing at the north-eastern boundary of the Picton Borough in Section 8, Block XII, Linkwater Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at the eastern boundary of Marlborough County adjoining the north-eastern corner of Section 1, Block VII, Arapawa Survey District, being a distance of 3 miles 25 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126832, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Picton commencing at its junction with the Picton–Christchurch Main Highway at the intersection of High Street and Dublin Street, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction via Dublin Street, Crescent, and Waikawa Road, and terminating at the north-eastern boundary of Picton Borough in Section 8, Block XII, Linkwater Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 13 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126832, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 12
Waiho–Paringa.—All that road or portion of road in the Westland County, commencing at the right bank of the Waiho River in the Waiho Township, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly, westerly; and south-westerly direction, and terminating at a point approximately one and one-half miles west of the Paringa River, being a distance of 56 miles 25 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plans P.W.D. 107277, 126842, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and green respectively.
Murchison–Lewis Pass via Shenandoah.—All that road or portion of road in the Inangahua County commencing at the northern boundary of the Inangahua County, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the Maruia River and terminating at its junction with the Reefton–Waipara via Lewis Pass Main Highway, being a distance of 16 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126844, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Reefton–Waipara via Lewis Pass.—All that road or portion of road in the Inangahua County commencing at its junction with the Inangahua Junction–Greymouth Main Highway, in the Reefton Township, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via Springs Junction and the Maruia River and terminating at the eastern boundary of the said county at Lewis Pass, being a distance of 42 miles 50 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plans P.W.D. 71523, 103360, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured black and green respectively.
Gannons.—All that road or portion of road in Inangahua County commencing at its junction with the Inangahua Junction–Greymouth Main Highway, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at and including the Waitahu River Bridge, being a distance of 3 miles 25 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126849, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 13
Reefton–Waipara via Lewis Pass.—All that road or portion of road in the Amuri and Waipara Counties commencing at the Lewis Pass on the western boundary of Amuri County, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly, easterly, south-westerly, and southerly direction along the Lewis, Boyle, Hope, and Waiau Rivers, and via Red Post and Culverden, and terminating at its junction with the Picton–Christchurch Main Highway at Waipara, being a distance of 81 miles 51 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126742, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Red Post–Kaikoura.—All that road or portion of road in the Amuri and Kaikoura Counties commencing at its junction with the Reefton–Waipara via Lewis Pass Main Highway at the Red Post, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly and easterly direction via Rotherham, Waiau, and the Kowhai River Crossing, and terminating at its junction with the Picton–Christchurch Main Highway in the Kaikoura Township, being a distance of 64 miles 33 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126744, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Hanmer Junction–Jollie's Pass.—All that road or portion of road in the Amuri County commencing at its junction with the Reefton–Waipara via Lewis Pass Main Highway at Section 24, Block VIII, Tekoa Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction via the Waiau River Crossing, Hanmer Township, and terminating at Jollie's Pass at Section 47, Block II, Percival Survey District, being a distance of 8 miles 61 chains, more or less, as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126744, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 14
Amberley–Mount Brown.—All that road or portion of road in the Kowai County commencing at its junction with the Picton–Christchurch Main Highway in the Amberley Township, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly, northerly, and north-westerly direction via Douglas and Mount Brown Roads and terminating in the north-eastern corner of Section 34683, Block III, Grey Survey District, being a distance of 10 miles 40 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126890, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Mount Somers–Ashburton Gorge.—All that road or portion of road in the Ashburton County commencing at its junction with the Darfield–Arundel Main Highway near the Mount Somers Railway-station, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Ashburton Gorge Road and terminating at Section 931, Block V, Alford Survey District, being a distance of 8 miles 10 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126889, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 16
South Oamaru–Waimakarua.—All that road or portion of road in the Waitaki County commencing at the southern boundary of Oamaru Borough, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction via the Awamoa, Stone-wall, and White Rocks Roads, situated in Blocks IV and VI, Oamaru Survey District, and terminating at a point on the eastern boundary of Section 74, Block VI, Oamaru Survey District, being a distance of 4 miles 62 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126994, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Kaikorai Valley.—All that road or portion of road in the Green Island Borough commencing from the point of intersection of Short Street, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at the northern boundary of Green Island Borough, being a distance of 18 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126996, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 17
Janefield Highway.—All that road or portion of road in the Taieri County commencing at the eastern boundary of the Mosgiel Borough, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction via Factory Road and terminating at the intersection of Duke's Road and Wingatui Road, being a distance of 1 mile 40 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126993, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Mosgiel Borough commencing at its junction with the Mosgiel–Middlemarch–Dunback Main Highway, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction via Factory Road and terminating at the eastern boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 45 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126993, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured black.
Roxburgh Street.—All that road or portion of road in the Tuapeka County commencing at its junction with the Willowbank–Matheson's Corner Main Highway in Heriot Township, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction via Roxburgh Street and terminating at the south-western boundary of Section 17, Block IX, Greenvale Survey District, being a distance of 66 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 126995, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

PURSUANT to section one hundred and sixty-seven of the Maori Land Act, 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby vary an Order in Council made on the fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, and published in the Gazette on the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two, at page 735, and affecting Hauturu East B 2 Section 2A 1A and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the lands described in the Schedule hereto.
