Loan of £40,000 by extending the Term within which the said
Loan may be raised

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day of
May, 1948
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the nineteenth day
of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-six (herein-
after called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determina-
tions as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was
given to the raising in New Zealand by the Otago Harbour Board
(hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of forty
thousand pounds (£40,000), to be known as “Harbour Works Loan,
1939, £400,000—Fifth Issue, £40,000, 1946” (hereinafter called the
said loan):
And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised, and it is
expedient to extend the term, as specified in clause seven of the
said Order in Council, within which the said loan or any portion
thereof may be raised:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on
him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act,
1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932
(No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in
this behalf, doth hereby vary the determinations aforesaid in
respect of the said loan by prescribing that no moneys shall be
borrowed under the consent given by the said Order in Council
after the expiration of four (4) years from the date thereof.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the additional land described
in the Schedule hereto being taken for hospital purposes.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of additional land permitted to be
taken: 106 acres 0 roods 29·02 perches.
Being Lots 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, and parts Lots 17, 18, 24,
and 27, D.P. 8486, being Rural Sections 375, 376, 377, and
parts Rural Sections 356, 357, 358, 359, and 378, and accretions
thereto (Township of Palmerston North).
Situated in Blocks X and XIV, Kairanga Survey District.

PURSUANT to section one hundred and forty-nine of the Public
Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
consent to the Waipa County Council stopping the portions of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section one hundred and twelve of the Public
Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule
hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become
county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Rangitikei
County, known as Kotuku Farm Settlement Road, commencing
at its junction with the northern end of Johnston Road and proceeding
thence in a northerly direction generally, adjoining Lot 1, D.P. 12465,
being part Section 19, Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, and
Sections 1, 2, and 4, Block XIV, Wangaehu Survey District (Kotuku
Farm Settlement), and terminating at the south boundary of
Section 3, Block XIV, Wangaehu Survey District (Kotuku Farm
Settlement), being a distance of approximately 52 chains. As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
127043, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
