NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies
has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act,
1909, by writing under his hand dated this 16th day of April, 1948,
cancelled the registry of Okaiawa Lodge, No. 52, of the Independent
Order of Odd Fellows of New Zealand, Friendly Society (Register
No. 146/138), held at Hawera, on the ground that the said branch
has ceased to exist.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter
of the HATAITAI LAND COMPANY, LIMITED, a duly
incorporated company having its registered office in the
City of Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand, Wellington District (Wellington Registry),
dated the 16th day of April, 1948, confirming the reduction of the
capital of the above-named company from £6,800 divided into
forty shares of £170 each to £2,000 divided into forty shares of £50
each, and the minute approved by the said Court showing with
respect to the share capital of the company as altered by the said
order the several particulars required by the Companies Act, 1933,
were registered by the Registrar of Companies at Wellington on
the 23rd day of April, 1948.

And further take notice that the said minute is in the words
and figures following:

“The capital of the Hataitai Land Company, Limited, is
henceforth £2,000 divided into forty shares of £50 each. At the
time of registration of this minute the sum of £50 is to be deemed
paid up on each of the said shares.”

BLUFF BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan, 1947

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Bluff Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Bluff
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for erecting
workers’ dwellings, the said Bluff Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of point three eight five four of a penny
(0.3854d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Bluff, comprising the whole of the
Borough of Bluff; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Dated at Bluff, this 19th day of March, 1948.

held on the 22nd day of April, 1948, the following special resolution
was passed:

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roading and Drainage Redemption Loan, 1948, of £29,380

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Mount Albert
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal and interest
and other charges on a loan of £29,380, authorized to be raised by
the Mount Albert Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding balance
of a portion (£25,000) of the Roading Loan, 1926, and a portion
(£17,000) of the Drainage Loan, 1926, the Mount Albert Borough
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought
seven six of a penny (0.076d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable
value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the
Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall
be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years
or until the loan is fully paid off.”
