EGGERS, Chief Accountant.By-laws regulating Traffic on the Wanganui River Bridge, Manunui,on the Taumarunui-Turangi State HighwayIN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 9of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and by section 155 of thePublic Works Act, 1928, the Main Highways Board doth herebymake the following by-law in respect of the above-mentioned bridge,and doth hereby declare that the said by-law shall come into forceon the 1st day of April, 1948.BY-LAW1. THAT the Main Highways Board hereby gives notice that nopersons shall drive or take or permit to be driven or taken anyvehicle upon or over the Wanganui River Bridge at Manunui onthe Taumarunui-Turangi State Highway at a greater speed thanten miles per hour or if the gross weight of the vehicle is in excessof 18 tons.2. (a) No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven orallow any cattle in excess of forty at any given time to pass alongor over the above-mentioned bridge.(b) Cattle includes any bull, cow, ox, steer, heifer, or calf.3. (a) Every person who does or causes or procures to be doneanything contrary to the terms of this by-law shall be guilty of anoffence.(b) Every person guilty of an offence against this by-law shallbe liable to a fine not exceeding five pounds (£5) for each such offence.The foregoing by-laws were made by a resolution duly passedat a meeting of the Main Highways Board held at Wellington on16th March, 1948.In witness hereof the common seal of the Main Highways Boardis hereunto affixed, this 16th day of March, 1948, in the presence of—[L.S.]F. SCOTT, Member.[M.H. 62/33/6.)By-laws regulating Traffic on the Waimea River Bridge, Appleby, onthe Richmond-Collingwood State HighwayIN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 9of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and by section 155 of thePublic Works Act, 1928, the Main Highways Board doth herebymake the following by-law in respect of the above-mentionedbridge, and doth hereby declare that the said by-law shall comeinto force on the 16th day of March, 1948.BY-LAW1.
