HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
confirm the following appointments, promotion, and relin-
quishment of temporary rank of officers of the 2nd New Zealand
Expeditionary Force (Japan Section), vide List No. 74, dated 25th
November, 1947:—
GRANT OF TEMPORARY RANK
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) J. Colman, R.N.Z.E., to be
temp. Captain. Dated 25th November, 1947.
TEMPORARY RANK RELINQUISHED
2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) J. A. Hannam, R.N.Z.A.M.C.,
relinquishes the temporary rank of Captain and assumes the acting
rank of Captain on being placed on N.Z. Roll. Dated 18th December,
1947.

Revocation of Appointment of certain Garage-proprieter for Issue
of Warrants of Fitness
IN terms of Regulation 11 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, and
all other powers enabling me in that behalf, I, Frederick
Hackett, Minister of Transport, do hereby revoke the approval of
the person and firm described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose
of the issue of warrants of fitness for motor-vehicles.

Revocation of Appointment of certain Garage-proprieter for Issue
of Warrants of Fitness

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946,
I, Frederick Hackett, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the
persons named hereunder to be Honorary Fishery Officers for the
purposes of Part I of the Fisheries Act, 1908, to hold office until
the 31st day of March, 1950.
