THE TUWHARETOA NO. 3 TRIBAL DISTRICT

All that area situated in the Land District of Auckland,
Taranaki, and Wellington, comprising the Ohura County, part of
the Kaitieke County, part of the Taumarunui County, and part of
the Waitomo County, bounded by a line commencing at the con-
fuence of the Wanganui River and the Ohura River; thence up the
middle of the Ohura River till it is intersected by the 39th parallel
of south latitude; thence along the 39th parallel of south
latitude to the western boundary of Block IV, Pouatu Survey
District; thence along that boundary and the western boundary
of Block XVI, Waro Survey District, to the confiscation
boundary-line; thence along that line to the Tangarakau Stream;
thence along that stream and along the Waitaanga Stream to the
Kotare Road at the southern boundary of Section 2, Block VII,
Waro Survey District; thence along the Kotare Road and the
southern boundaries of Sections 1, Block VII, and 3, Block VI,
Waro Survey District, to the south-western corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence along the western boundaries of
Sections 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block VI aforesaid, to the north-western
corner of the said Section 6; thence along the northern boundary
of the said Section 6 to the Mohakatino Road at its north-eastern
corner; thence along the said Mohakatino Road to a stream inter-
secting the Mohakatino-Parininihi No. 1D Block; thence down
that stream to its confluence with the Mohakatino Stream near the
westernmost corner of Section 1, Block III, Waro Survey District;
thence up the Mohakatino Stream and along the northern boundary
of Section 3, Block III aforesaid, to Tawhitiraupeka Trig. Station;
thence along the western boundary of the Mokau-Mohakatino
No. 1H Block and its production to the middle of the Mokau River;
thence up the middle of the Mokau River to its confluence with the
Panirau Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to the western
boundary of Aria Survey District; thence northerly along that
boundary to the south-western corner of Section 11, Block V, Aria
Survey District; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries
of the said Section 11 to the south-western corner of Section 2,
Block V, Aria Survey District; thence along the southern boundary
of the said Section 2 and the southern boundary of Section 3 of the
aforesaid block to its easternmost corner; thence along the western
and southern boundaries of Section 8, Block V, Aria Survey District,
to the Waitewhena Road; thence across and along that road to
the south-western corner of Section 6, Block VI, Aria Survey
District; thence along the southern boundary of Section 6, the
western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Section 9 and the
generally eastern boundaries of Sections 16 and 10, all of Block VI,
Aria Survey District; thence along the south-western, southern,
and eastern boundaries of Section 7, Block III, Aria Survey District,
to the Mokau-Ohura Road; thence across that road and along
the southern boundary of Section 10, Block III, Aria Survey District,
to the western boundary of Section 12 of the aforesaid block;
thence along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the
said Section 12 and the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid
Section 10 to the western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 61D
Section 2B Block; thence southerly along the western boundary of
the aforesaid block, and along the western boundary of Section 7,
Block IV, Aria Survey District, to the southern boundary of the
aforesaid block; thence along the generally southern boundary
of the said Block IV, the generally southern boundary of Block I,
Tangitu Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Section 35,
Block I, Tangitu Survey District; thence along the production of
the south-western boundary of the said Section 35 to the middle of
the Hiwi Road; thence along the middle of the Hiwi and Mapiu
Roads to the intersection with Waitataura Road; thence south-
easterly along a right line to Trig. Station Z (Kopuha), in
Block XIII A, Ongarue Survey District; thence north-easterly along
a right line to Trig. Station 1394 (Pukemako), in Block V, Hurakia
Survey District; thence along a right line to the source of the
Ongarue River, in Block VIII, Hurakia Survey District, the afore-
said source being a point on the boundary of the Tuwharetoa No. 2
Tribal District hereinbefore described; thence in a southerly
direction along the boundary of the aforesaid tribal district to
Trig. Station XVII (Waituhi), in Block XIV, Puketapu Survey
District; thence in a south-westerly direction along a right line to
the source on the Waipari Stream; thence down the middle of
the said stream to its confluence with the Wanganui River; thence
up the middle of the said river to its confluence with the Mangatepopo
Stream; thence along a right line to Trig. Station Mangatepopo,
in Block VII, Tongariro Survey District; thence along a right
line to Trig. Station D (Ngauruhoe), a right line to Trig. Station
Paretetaitonga, a right line to Trig. Station Te Kahatu; thence
along a right line to the source of the Makatote Stream; thence
down the middle of the said stream to its intersection with the
eastern boundary of Section 13, Block VIII, Manganui Survey
District; thence southerly along the said eastern boundary and the
eastern boundary of Section 18, Block VIII, Manganui Survey
District, and its production to the middle of the Manganuiateao
River; thence down the middle of the said river to a point in line
with the south-western boundary of Section 24, Block XI, Manganui
Survey District; thence along that boundary and its production
to the middle of the Raetihi-Waimarino Road; thence along

to the intersection of the last-mentioned boundary with the north-
western boundary of Tapapakanga Block, in Block II, Orere Survey
District; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries
of the Tapapakanga Block to its northernmost corner, being a
point on the sea-coast; thence southerly and easterly generally
along the sea-coast to the southernmost corner of Section 1, Block X,
Thames Survey District; thence along the western and north-
western boundaries of that section to its northernmost point; thence
along a right line to the northernmost point of Section 1 of Block VII,
Thames Survey District; thence along a right line to the intersection
of the production of the north-western boundary of Section 3,
Block VII, Thames Survey District, with the middle of the Waihou
River, the point of commencement.

THE TUWHARETOA NO. 1 TRIBAL DISTRICT

All that area situated in the Auckland and Wellington Land
Districts, comprising part of the Taupo County, bounded by a line
commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the Waimarino
River; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern shore of
the said lake to Te Rangawha Point, in Block III, Tokaanu Survey
District; thence north-easterly along a right line to Rangatira
Point, in Block V, Tauhara Survey District; thence along a right
line to a point in the middle of the Waikato River at the outlet of
Lake Taupo; thence north-easterly generally down the middle of
the Waikato River to its confluence with the Torepatutahi Stream;
thence easterly up the middle of the said stream to a point in line
with the southern boundary of Paeroa East No. 3A Block; thence
to and along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Paeroa
East No. 3c Block, Kaingaroa No. 1A North, and No. 1A South
Blocks to Trig. Station Wairapukao, in Block VI, Waeo Survey
District; thence southerly along a right line to Trig. Station Ngapu-
keturua, in Block VI, Heruiwi Survey District; thence along the
eastern boundary of Lot 9, as shown on the plan numbered 21389,
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland,
to its southernmost corner; thence easterly along a right line to
Trig. Station 4, in Block VII, Heruiwi Survey District, and that
line produced to meet a right line from Trig. Station F (Tiritiri)
to Trig. Station B (Pukeroa); thence southerly along the said
right line to Trig. Station B (Pukeroa), in Block XI, Heruiwi Survey
District; thence along a right line to Trig. Station Te Taumutu;
thence easterly along a right line to the point of intersection of right
lines from Trig. Stations Tawhiwau and 69 (Tatarakino), and from
the northern point of Lake Waikaremoana passing through a point
180 chains due north of Trig. Station Maungataniwha; thence
south-easterly from this point of intersection, along a right line to
a point in the middle of the Te Hoe River, in line with the south-
western boundary of Heruiwi No. 4 Block; thence down the middle
of that river to a point in line with the northern boundary of Tata-
raokino Block; thence along the northern boundary of the said
block, down the middle of the Waipunga River, to and along the
northern boundary of Tarawera Block, the northern and western
boundaries of Omupapamaro Block, the western boundary of the
aforementioned Tarawera Block, and the northern boundaries of
Te Matai Block to the Mohaka River; thence up the middle of that
river and the middle of the Oamaru River, to and along the south-
eastern boundary of Kaimanawa No. 1A Block to the Ngaruroro
River; thence down the middle of that river to the intersection of
a right line from Trig. Station 65A to Trig. Station 26 (Tawakito-
hunga); thence westerly from this point of intersection along the
aforesaid right line to Trig. Station 26; thence along a right line
to Trig. Station 27 (Motumatai); thence northerly along a right
line to a point in the middle of the Waimarino River in line with the
eastern boundary of Hautu 1B 1B 2B 5B Block, in Block VI, Waiotaka
Survey District; thence down the middle of the said Waimarino
River to its mouth, being the point of commencement.

prising part of the Taumarunui County, part of the Taupo County,
part of the Matamata County, and part of the Waitomo County,
bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth
of the Whanganui Stream, in Block IX, Karangahape Survey
District; thence in a south-westerly direction along a right line
to Trig. Station Te Putu, in Block XII, Puketapu Survey District;
thence along a right line to Trig. Station XVII (Waituhi), in
Block XIV, Puketapu Survey District; thence in a north-westerly
direction along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Hauhu-
ngaroa No. 9 Block; thence in a north-easterly direction along a
right line to the source of the Ongarue River; thence along a right
line to Trig. Station 1390 (Pureora); thence along a right line in
the direction of Trig. Station Rangitoto to the southern boundary
of Maraeroa A No. 3B 2 Block; thence along the southern and
eastern boundaries of Maraeroa A No. 3B 2 Block aforesaid; thence
along right lines bearing 349° 5' distance 3508 links, bearing 349° 44'
distance 10266 links, bearing 29° 13' distance 7767 links, to
peg CXXX at the approximate source of the Waiteti Stream, as
shown on Survey Office plan 20946 (2), blue; thence down the middle
of the Waiteti Stream and the Waipapa River to the Waikato River;
thence easterly along a right line to Trig. Station F (Ngautuku),
in Block VI, Te Atiamuri Survey District; thence along a right
line to the middle of the Waikato River at its confluence with the
Whangapoai Stream; thence up the middle of the Waikato River
to its confluence with the Torepatutahi Stream, being a point on
the boundary of the Tuwharetoa No. 1 Tribal District hereinbefore
described; thence in a generally south-westerly direction along the
boundary of the aforesaid tribal district to a point on a right line
