WAIAKU TOWN BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waiuku Town Board
proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the
formation of a road—for which purpose the lands described in the
Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waiuku Town Board
under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22
and 23.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open
for inspection at the office of the Waiuku Town Board, Queen Street,
Waiuku.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing
any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to
the taking of such lands, and to send such writing to the Waiuku
Town Board within forty days from the date of the first publication
of this notice.
Dated at Waiuku, this 15th day of December, 1947.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, situated in Block III, Maioro Survey District, in the Town
District of Waiuku, containing 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being

THE WAITAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE
THE Waitaki Electric-power Board at its meeting on 15th
December, 1947, resolved:—
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the purpose
of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight
thousand four hundred and fifty pounds (£8,450,) to be known as
‘Renewal Loan, 1948,’ authorized to be raised by the Waitaki
Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
paying off of part of a special loan designated as ‘Extension Loan,
1937,’ at maturity of securities issued in respect of such loan, the
said Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of forty-one one-thousandths (0·041) of a penny in the
pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the Waitaki
Electric-power District; and it is hereby further resolved that such
special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency
of the said Renewal Loan, 1948, or until the said loan has been
fully repaid, and that the said special rate be and the same is hereby
appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said
loan and for the payment of interest thereon and other charges
under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Papatoetoe Water-supply Extension Loan No. 4, 1946, £18,500
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other
powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council
hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund,
and other charges on a loan of £18,500, authorized to be raised by
the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of laying water mains and doing all other things necessary
for the supply of water to properties in the Papatoetoe Water-
supply Extension No. 4 Special Rating Area, in the Papatoetoe
Riding of the County of Manukau, the Manukau County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and five one-sixty-
fourths (1⁵⁄₆₄ths) of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value
(on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the
Papatoetoe Water-supply Extension Loan No. 4, 1946, Special
Rating Area, being the Special Rating Area more particularly
described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25)
years or until the loan is fully paid off.

“ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District and County
of Manukau, situated in the Manurewa Parish and Clendon’s Grant
of Blocks VI, X, and XI, Otahuhu Survey District, and bounded:
Commencing at the southern corner of Lot 12, D.P. 6873, of Allot-
ment 12 on the northern side of the Papatoetoe–Howick Main
Highway; thence by the boundary of the existing East Tamaki
Water-supply Area (ref. New Zealand Gazette, 1940, Vol. I, No. 32,
page 713) to a point on the south-western boundary of the said
Lot 12, distant 500 links from the said highway; thence north-
easterly by a right line to a point distant 500 links from the western
side of Otara Road on the northern boundary of Lot Part 15,
