Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as
road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks VIII and XIII, Belmont
Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
P URSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over
Blocks VIII and XIII, Belmont Survey District, shall be that defined
and set forth in the Schedule hereto, and I do also declare that this
Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits
as defined on the plan marked P.W.D. 126796, referred to in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
COMMENCING at a point at the Petone Borough and Lower Hutt
City boundary at a point on the existing Western Hutt Road opposite
the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 13054, Block XIII, Belmont
Survey District; proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction
generally along the said road for a distance of approximately
68 chains, and abutting or adjoining the following lands, &c.,
viz.: Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 13054, being part Subdivision 26B of
Section 16, Hutt District, part Subdivisions 18, 24, 17A, 17B, 14,
15, 13, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22D, and 22C of Section 16, Hutt District,
all of Block XIII, Belmont Survey District; part Railway land
(Te Momi West), as delineated on plan S.O. 20993; part Section 90,
Normandale Settlement; part Section 24, Hutt District (plans
D.P. 6,000, A/727), all of Block VIII, Belmont Survey District,
and terminating at a point on the Western Hutt Road 2 chains
south of the junction of the Normandale and Western Hutt Roads,
Block VIII, Belmont Survey District; including all adjoining
and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers,
streams, and watercourses : all in the Wellington Land District.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126796,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by
section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General
Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is
hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 7 acres and 6·9 poles, more or less, being
part of Section 7s, Melville Park Settlement, Block VII, East Taieri
Survey District : Bounded towards the north-west by Section 4s,
1000·04 links ; towards the north-east by Lot 6, D.P. 6090, and
Lots 39, 38, 37, and 1, D.P. 471, Township of West Mosgiel, 749·9
links ; towards the south-east by Bush Road, 450·01 links ; towards
the south-west, south-east, and north-east by other part of aforesaid
Section 7s, 200 links, 227·28 links, and 200 links respectively;
again towards the south-east by Bush Road, 322·69 links ; and
towards the south-west by Section 6s, 749·63 links : be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
P URSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment
Act, 1945, and of all other powers him enabling, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by the
New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, of the land
described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of
section eighty-five of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Clyde, Otago Land

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of
March, 1948

THE HON. H. G. R. MASON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a
reserve duly set apart for a police-station and buildings-
site:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation
over such land shall be changed to a reserve for buildings of the
General Government:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains,
and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose
of the reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby changed from a reserve for a police-station and buildings-
site to a reserve for buildings of the General Government.
