THE WAIRERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR LOAN
Redemption Loan, 1947, £9,129
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairere Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £9,129 (to be known as the ‘Redemption Loan, 1947’), authorized to be raised by the Wairere Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of the following loans—(1) Electricity Loan No. 3, 1936, £17,000, portion, £5,000; (2) Special Loan, 1937, £3,000; (3) Reticulation Loan, 1938, £14,000, portion, £5,000; (4) Reticulation Loan, 1938, £14,000, portion, £2,000—the said Wairere Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½₅ of one penny in the pound on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in Wairere Electric-power Board’s Rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eleven years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly convened meeting of the Wairere Electric-power Board held on 17th March, 1948.

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 15th day of March, 1948, the following special resolution was duly passed :—
“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily;
“2. That Mr. THOMAS GORDON STEEN, of Auckland, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and of TROPICAL FOODS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, LIMITED (in Liquidation).
THE liquidator of Tropical Foods Development Company, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 12th day of April, 1948, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,300, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the redemption of part of the General Purposes Loan of £129,500, 1920, the Stratford Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny (⁵⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Stratford, comprising the whole of the Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of four years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Plant Loan, 1947, £10,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing road machinery, the said the Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
This is to certify that the foregoing resolution was duly carried at an ordinary meeting of the Hutt County Council held on the 25th day of February, 1948.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE OF ONE HALFPENNY (½d.) IN THE POUND (£) AS SECURITY FOR THE DUNEDIN CITY CONVERSION LOAN SEVENTH REPAYMENT LOAN, 1948, OF £88,400
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £88,400, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying portion of the City of Dunedin Conversion Loan, 1934, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the said city; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three (3) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on Monday, 15th March, 1948.
