A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as
road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 13 acres
1 rood 6 perches.
Being part Section 1.

Situated in Block V, Tuhua Survey District (Auckland R.D.).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126106, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 13th day of March, 1948.

PURSUANT to section one hundred and forty-nine of the Public
Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril
Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in
the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 2 roods
32·7 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Allotments 379 and 386.

Situated in Block I, Opotiki Survey District (Gisborne R.D.).

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of
March, 1948

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby authorize the Green Island Borough Council to permit
the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule
hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty
feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on Lots 1 to 9, 11 to 37, and 39 to 52,
all inclusive, of a subdivision of the land fronting the said street
(as shown on the plan referred to in the Schedule hereto) within
a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Otago Land District, Borough of Green
Island, to be known as Royal Crescent, containing by admeasure-
ment 2 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2,
Deposited Plan 6152, being part Sections 95, 96, 97, and 98,
Block V, Lower Kaikorai District. As the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126177, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

church, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public
Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of
March, 1948

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the
Christchurch City Council on the twentieth day of October, one
thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz. :—

“ The Christchurch City Council, being the local authority
having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch,
hereby by resolution declares that the provisions of section
one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928,
shall not apply to that portion of the north-eastern side of
Bass Street adjoining the land contained in Certificate of Title,
Volume 501, folio 191 ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall
at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-eastern side
of the portion of Bass Street (described in the Schedule hereto)
within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the
said portion of street.

SCHEDULE

THE north-eastern side of all that portion of street situated in the
Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Bass
Street, adjoining part Rural Section 99, part of the said land being
more particularly described as Lot 84, Plan 380, and Lot 116,
Plan 546. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 126323, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Lower Clutha River Trust (hereinafter called
the said local authority) proposes, pursuant to the pro-
visions of section twenty-four of the Soil Conservation and Rivers
Control Act, 1941, to raise a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000),
to be known as “ Flood Damage Loan, 1948 ” (hereinafter called
the said loan), for the purpose of contributing towards the cost of
flood-damage works :
