Abolishing Pyramid Block Drainage District, County of Southland

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS a request was made pursuant to section one hundred and forty-one of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, that the Pyramid Block Drainage District be abolished :
And whereas, pursuant to section twenty-four of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, such request was referred to the Local Government Commission and the Commission approved the proposal as a final scheme, bearing the date the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-eight :
And whereas it is desirable that effect be given to the provisions of such final scheme :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare that the Pyramid Block Drainage District is hereby abolished ;
and, with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further order and declare that the abolition.of the said Pyramid Block Drainage District shall be deemed to have been effected under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, and the Land Drainage Act, 1908.

Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the Provisions as to Limitations of Area

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section forty-one of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1945, and all other powers him enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the disposition to and the acquisition by Namunui Farms, Limited, of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Rangitikei County, situated in Block XIII, Ohinewairua Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1,538 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Awarua 4A 3c Sub-divisions 1, 2A, 2B, 3, 4D, 4F, and 4G, and being also the whole of the land comprised and described in Certificates of Title, Volume 191, folio 288, Volume 227, folio 225, Volume 224, folio 16, Volume 157, folio 269, Volume 199, folio 284, Volume 186, folio 240, and Volume 199, folio 283, respectively (Wellington Registry).

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £50,000 by the North Canterbury Hospital Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the North Canterbury Hospital Board (hereinafter called the said local authority), being desirous of raising a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000), to be known as "Cashmere Hospital Loan (Part I), 1947" (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of levelling and draining the site for the Cashmere Hospital, forming and completing the new Cashmere Road deviation, forming service roads, sinking a deep well, erecting a two hundred thousand gallon reservoir and pumping installation, and laying a pipe-line to the reservoir, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said loan :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :-
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed thirty-five (35) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and no instalments shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
(5) The rate for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
(6) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

Consenting to the Raising of Portion (£31,250) of the Whangarei Borough Council's Loan of £41,250 and prescribing the Conditions thereof

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Whangarei Borough Council (hereinafter called the said local authority), being desirous of raising a loan of forty-one thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£41,250), to be known as "Whangarei Borough Milk Loan, 1947" (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of purchase-moneys under the Milk Act, 1944, constructing, erecting, or acquiring land, buildings, plant, machinery, or other appliances or works required for purposes under the Milk Act, 1944 :
And whereas the said local authority is arranging to raise a portion thereof amounting to thirty-one thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£31,250) (hereinafter called the said sum), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the said Act, should be given to the raising of the said sum :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said sum for the said purpose up to the amount of thirty-one thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£31,250), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :-

(3) The said sum or any part thereof shall be repaid by the half-yearly redemption of debentures in the half-years set out in the first column of the Schedule hereunder of the amounts stated opposite each such half-year in the second column of the said Schedule.
