The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of a Discharged Serviceman

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Sales Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto and to which Part III of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, applies:

And whereas the Land Sales Committee to which the application has been referred is of opinion that the land to which the application relates is farm land suitable or adaptable for the settlement of a discharged serviceman:

And whereas the said committee, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the land, did on the 21st day of January, 1947, make an order determining the basic value of the land and no appeal from the said order was made within the time prescribed by the said Act or within any further time allowed by the Court:

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 51 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of a discharged serviceman, and hereby specifies the 10th day of March, 1947, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.


SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Blocks II, III, VI, and VII, Newcastle Survey District, containing by admeasurement four hundred and fifty-five (455) acres three (3) roods thirty (30) perches, more or less, being portion of Allotment 221, Parish of Waipa, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 859, folio 236 (Auckland Registry).

ALL that parcel of land containing three hundred and ninety-five (395) acres three (3) roods and seventeen decimal five (17·5) perches, more or less, being Rural Sections 28557 and 30134 and part Rural Sections 28613, 29817, 29818, situated in Block IV, Westerfield Survey District, and Block I, Ashburton Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 67, folio 209, and portion of the land comprised in certificates of title, Vol. 101, folios 180 and 181, and Vol. 112, folio 292 (Canterbury Registry), subject to a water-race easement created in and by Memorandum of Transfer No. 114422.

The Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 30th day of May, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 24th day of March, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.


SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situated in Block XIII, Drury Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and forty-two (142) acres, more or less, being part of Allotment 82, Waiuku East Parish, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 765, folio 241, limited as to parcels (Auckland Registry), and all that parcel of land situated in Block XIII, Drury Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred (100) acres, more or less, being part of Allotment 82, Waiuku East Parish, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 765, folio 242, limited as to parcels (Auckland Registry).
