ESTATE OF JAMES McANELLY

In the matter of the Administration Act, 1908, and its amend-
ments, and in the matter of the Estate of JAMES McANELLY,
late of Invercargill, Land-agent, but now deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of the Supreme Court
of New Zealand made at Dunedin on the 19th day of
December, 1946, it was ordered that the estate of the said deceased
be administered by the Public Trustee under the provisions of
Part IV of the said Act.

Notice is further given that the said estate will accordingly, as
from the said date, be administered, realized, and distributed by
the Public Trustee in accordance with the law and practice of
bankruptcy.

Notice is further given that I do hereby summon a meeting
of creditors of the said estate to be held at the Public Trust Office,
Don Street, Invercargill, on Tuesday, the 18th day of February,
1947, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon.

Notice is finally given that all creditors, whether they have
already submitted their claims or not, are required to prove their
debts within the time and in the manner provided by the
Bankruptcy Act, 1908. Proof-of-debt forms may be procured at
my office.

(1) That it ceased to carry on business in New Zealand on the
31st day of October, 1946;

(2) That on and after the 10th day of May, 1947, it will cease
to have a place of business in New Zealand.

Proprietary, Limited, have been taken over by J. H. Mills and
Company, 18 Victoria Street, Wellington, as from the 1st November,
1946.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Traffic Signals Loan, 1946

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by section 21 of the Local Legislation Act, 1946, and
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Auckland City Council
hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £34,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of purchas-
ing and installing traffic-signal equipment at ten intersections in
the City of Auckland, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-third of one penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the
annual value) of the Auckland City, comprising the whole of the
City of Auckland ; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be
payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the
loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Parks and Reserves Loan, 1946

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Physical Welfare
and Recreation Act, 1937, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,
the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges
on a loan of £144,500, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City
Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of acquiring
areas for development as parks and reserves and erecting buildings
thereon, and developing and erecting buildings on parks and reserves
already owned by the Council, the said Auckland City Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of two-thirds of one penny in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis
of the annual value) of the Auckland City, comprising the whole of
the City of Auckland ; and that the said special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall
be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty-five
years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
