The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of certain Grades
Office of Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 30th January, 1947.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices of Preferred Commercial and Commercial Grades are fixed on a basic rate of 4s. 8d. per loose bushel.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 1st February to 28th February, 1947:—

THE following special order made by the Waiapu County Council on the 15th day of January, 1947, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.
SPECIAL ORDER
“THAT under the provisions of section 4 and 5 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Waiapu County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that barberry (Berberis vulgaris) and African boxthorn (Lycium horridum) shall be deemed to be noxious weeds within the County of Waiapu as from the date when such special order is gazetted.”

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
J. S. Burrows, Upper Atiamuri, via Putaruru, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump already installed on contractor’s premises at Upper Atiamuri.
R. F. Hollows, 3 Ewing’s Road, Whangarei, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from two pumps to be installed on store premises at the corner of Ewing’s and Onerahi Roads, Whangarei.
K. P. Dhanjee and Co., Waiohau, Whakatane, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises on the Te Teko – Galatea Road, Waiohau.
J. A. Ross, Pororari Post-office, Punakaiki, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store premises at Pororari, and otherwise than through pumps from a depot to be established on the same premises.
P. J. Hackett, care of Jenkins and Winter, Barristers and Solicitors, Auckland, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from three pumps to be installed on proposed new garage premises at 128–130 Victoria Street West, Auckland.

Mutual Rental Cars, Ltd., P.O. Box 13, Timaru, has applied for a license to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed inside rental-car depot in Canon Street, Timaru.
Manunui Motor Co., Ltd., Manunui, has applied for permission to change the company’s retail selling point from the present site to a new site at the junction of the Tokaanu Road and Main North – South Road, four miles south of Taumarunui.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 27th day of February, 1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Acting-Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. 3025, Wellington.

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:—

This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 655, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 474† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).

This Order shall come into force on the 14th day of February, 1947.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This Order applies with respect to all spring carrots which, being subject to the principal Order, are grown in the South Island of New Zealand.
MODIFICATION OF PRINCIPAL ORDER WITH RESPECT TO SPRING CARROTS THAT ARE SUBJECT TO THIS ORDER
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the principal Order any spring carrots to which this Order applies sold during the month of February may be weighed and sold with foliage (not exceeding 5 in. in length) attached thereto.
