Agreement for Grant of Easement in favour of Hannah Willhelmina Erickson, of Karapiro, Widow, and her Successors and Assigns, over Land in the Cambridge Survey District to be taken for the Development of Water-power (Karapiro Hydro-electric Scheme) assented to

WHEREAS by an agreement dated the 6th day of September, 1946, Hannah Willhelmina Erickson, of Karapiro, Widow, agreed to His Majesty the King taking under the Public Works Act, 1928, an area of approximately 148 acres 3 roods 32 perches, being parts Lot 6, D.P. 3300, being parts Hinuera No. 2 Block, Cambridge Survey District, for the development of water-power (Karapiro Hydro-electric Scheme):

And whereas the said Hannah Willhelmina Erickson is entitled to compensation for her freehold interest in the said area of 148 acres 3 roods 32 perches:

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Hannah Willhelmina Erickson, her successors and assigns, a right-of-way over portion of the said land for the purpose of giving access from a new road to be constructed over portion of the said land to the eastern end of her remaining land in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid, and to fence the new boundary forthwith with a sheep-proof fence, and to provide a sum of money in satisfaction of the residue of the said compensation:

And whereas the said Hannah Willhelmina Erickson has agreed to accept such grant of easement, sum of money, and fencing in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act, 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XV, Omapere Survey District, for Housing Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kaikohe and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 8 acres 2 roods 36 perches.

Being the residue of the block situated in the Omapere Survey District called Kohehewhata No. 43, originally acquired by Hunia Manihera and others on 20th July, 1911.

Situated in Block XV, Omapere Survey District (Auckland R.D.).

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124671, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness my hand at Wellington, this 7th day of February, 1947.

Notice of Intention to take Land, together with a Right-of-way over Land, in the Borough of Mount Eden, for a Post-office

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a post-office—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto, together with the right-of-way appurtenant thereto created by Memorandum of Transfer No. 215625, Auckland Land Registry, is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Mount Eden and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land and right-of-way should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land and right-of-way, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 7·6 perches.

Being Lot 13 on D.P. 18841, being portion of Allotment 129, Section 10 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 446, folio 213 (Auckland Land Registry).

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 124861, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on the Invercargill Fire Board

Wellington, 5th February, 1947.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and the rules made thereunder, the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act doth appoint Thursday, the 27th February, 1947, to be the date for holding the election of one member of the Invercargill Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. A. M. Welham.
