A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD
Approximate area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 2 roods 27 perches. Being part Section 27; coloured orange.
SECOND SCHEDULE
ROAD CLOSED
Approximate area of the piece of road closed: 2 roods 8 perches. Adjoining or passing through Sections 27 and 28; coloured green.
All situated in Block V, Wyndham Survey District (Southland R.D.). (S.O. 5718.)
All in the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126339, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of December, 1947.

Authorizing Mount Wellington Road Board to exercise Powers conferred by Road Boards Amendment Act, 1914

A PROCLAMATION
Whereas, pursuant to section two of the Road Boards Amendment Act, 1914 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Mount Wellington Road Board has passed a resolution adopting the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Mount Wellington Road Board is hereby authorized to exercise the powers conferred by the said Act.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of December, 1947.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1947

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Hastings Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed streets described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition (which condition shall not, however, apply to Lot 1, Plan 5330, being part Heretaunga Block) that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said streets within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-lines of the said streets.
SCHEDULE
Those proposed streets in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Borough of Hastings, to be known as Tawa Street, Tawa Place, Rata Street, Miro Street, and Rimu Street, together containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 1 perch, more or less, being parts Heretaunga Block, being part Lot 239, D.P. 1863, part Lot 223, D.P. 1732, part Lot 221, D.P. 1732, more particularly shown as Lot 6 and part Lots 7 and 8, D.P. 1970, part Lot 6, D.P. 7246, and part Lot 237, D.P. 1756. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125928, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Petone Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21 of a subdivision of the land fronting the said street (as shown on the plan referred to in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
That proposed street off Akatea Road in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Petone, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 12 perches, more or less, being part Section 123 of the Maungaraki Settlement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 126293, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Validating District Electors' Roll of Borough of Greymouth

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of December, 1947
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Whereas, in pursuance of section six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the preparation of a district electors' list of the Borough of Greymouth was commenced and undertaken, but such list was destroyed by fire whilst in course of preparation:
And whereas by reason of the destruction of the district electors' list it was not possible to complete the preparation thereof as required by the said section six, and certain provisions of the Municipal Enrolment Regulations 1947* could not be complied with:
And whereas by an instrument made on the fourteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, His Excellency the Governor-General ordered that certain steps should be taken to provide for the making of a new district electors' list in place of that destroyed as aforesaid:
And whereas the steps referred to in the said instrument were duly taken and the said list became the district electors' roll of the said borough on the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven:
And whereas it is desirable to validate the district electors' roll as aforesaid:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section three hundred and eighty-eight of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the said district electors' roll shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though it had been made in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.
