THE following notice, received by the Minister of Finance from
the Mayor of Dannevirke Borough Council, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926.

BOROUGH OF DANNEVIRKE
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the
Borough of Dannevirke taken on the 19th day of November, 1947,
on a proposal of the Dannevirke Borough Council to raise a loan of
£3,000 for the extension of the borough water-supply reticulation,
the number of votes recorded was as follows:

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan—Plant Loan,
1947
PURSUANT to sections 12 and 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the County
of Hutt taken on the 19th day of November, 1947, on the proposal
of the Hutt County Council to borrow the sum of £10,000, such
loan to be known as "Plant Loan 1947," for the purpose of
purchasing road machinery—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was.. 1,035
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 371
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and
authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust
Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the
Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Maxwell Rowe Nelson,
of the Public Trust Office, Masterton, to be deputy of the District
Public Trustee, Masterton, during the absence of such District
Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous
Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee
have been revoked.

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public
Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments
To the owner of the following land, that is to say: All that
parcel of land containing 38 acres 2 roods, more or less, situate
in the Parish of Ruarangi, in the County of Marsden (now
Whangarei), being part of Block IX of the Tangahua Survey
District, and being the north-eastern portion of Allotment 34
of the said parish: Bounded on the south-west by other
portion of the said Allotment 34, 2415 links, on the south-
east by Allotment 33, 1960 links, on the north-east by Allot-
ment 35, 1700 links, and on the north-west by a road 100 links
wide, 2080 links, being the land comprised in an unregistered
Crown Grant to Robert Orr, of Auckland, Settler; excepting
thereout the land taken for a public road by Proclamation
No. 8539.
WHEREAS, after due inquiry, the owner of the above-described
land cannot be found: And whereas the said owner has
no known agent in New Zealand:
Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls upon such owner, within
six months of the date of the publication of this notice in this Gazette,
to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to
the said land, and if he fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee
will exercise as regards the said land the powers and authorities
granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II),
and its amendments.

of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Manufacture for Sale of Footwear
Rubber Distributors, Ltd., P.O. Box 1039, Wellington, has
applied for a variation of its existing licence so as to permit the
manufacture of rubber and canvas footwear.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on
this application should, not later than 18th December, 1947, submit
any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
