GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000, authorized to be raised by the Gisborne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of augmenting existing water-supply, by completing the water-supply scheme at Mangapoike, laying pipe-line from Waingake watershed and connecting up with existing pipe-line in the Te Arai Stream, and providing a storage reservoir at Lytton Road, Gisborne, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-three sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Gisborne, comprising the whole of the Borough of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 31st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council held on the 18th day of November, 1947.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Public Works Loan, £58,500, 1946, £15,000 Portion

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000, authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the extension of the stormwater and sewerage system, reconstruction and sealing roadways and footpaths, construction of streets for subdivision purposes, and developing City Reserves and tile draining Rugby Park, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

I, KURT RAFAEL PETERSEN, known as OSCAR PETERSEN, of Auckland, Storekeeper, heretofore called and known by the name of KURT RAFAEL BJORKBON, hereby give public notice that by deed-poll dated the 18th day of November, 1947, duly executed and attested and filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland on the 20th day of November, 1947, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of BJORKBON and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth at all times to use and subscribe the surname of PETERSEN instead of BJORKBON, so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the surname of PETERSEN exclusively.

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000, authorized to be raised by the Wairarapa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the sealing of the Gisborne-Wairoa via Morere Main Highway 813, the said Wairarapa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of one penny (1/12th) in the pound upon the rateable value (capital) of all rateable property, comprising the County of Wairarapa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan."

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Wairarapa County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Queen Street, Wairarapa, on Tuesday, the 11th day of November, 1947.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
