THE following special order made by the Whakatane County
Council on the 26th day of August, 1947, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.
SPECIAL ORDER
“THAT, pursuant to sections 4 and 5 of the Noxious Weeds Act,
1928, the Whakatane County Council hereby declares, by way of
special order, that the plant known as winged thistle (Carduus
tenuiflorus) and the thistle plant known as Carduus pycnocephalus,
which weeds are included in the Second Schedule to the Noxious
Weeds Act, 1928, are noxious weeds in the Whakatane County.”

Council on the 19th day of September, 1947, is published
in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.
SPECIAL ORDER
“THAT, under the provisions of section 4 of the Noxious Weeds
Act, 1928, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves, by way
of special order, that hawthorn shall be deemed to be a noxious
weed within the County of Stratford as from the date when such
special order is gazetted.”

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1936
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby
revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto,
a certain notice dated the 17th day of October, 1938, and published
in Gazette No. 77 of the 20th day of the same month, at page 2261,
whereby the said land, inter alia, was declared to be subject to
Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, and such land
is hereby excluded from the Hauraki Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Waikato-Maniapoto Native Land
Court District, containing 4 acres 0 roods 32 perches, more or less,
called or known as Wharekawa 4B 2A 1B 1, and situate in Block III,
Orere Survey District.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1936
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land
Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby
revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule
hereto, a certain notice dated the 15th day of September, 1930,
and published in Gazette No. 66 of the 25th day of the same month,
at page 2851, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23
of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment
Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936),
were applied to, inter alia, the said land, and such land is hereby
excluded from the Bay of Islands Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area of land in the Tokerau Native Land Court District,
containing 5 acres, more or less, called or known as Motatau 2
Section 25N 1, and situate in Block XVI, Kawakawa Survey District.

for inspection at all times during normal working-hours.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the Public
Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II (Unclaimed Lands)
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have for
the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act,
1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiry with respect
to the lands described in the Schedule hereunder, and the where-
abouts of the owner thereof, and have, in respect of the said lands,
given the notices prescribed by section 66 of that Act, and have
in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act pertinent
thereto: And whereas the owner has not established his title to
the said lands as required by that Act, I hereby give notice that
the said lands are under and by virtue of that Act vested in the
Public Trustee as aforesaid as from the date of the publication
hereof, and will be administered under the Public Trust Office Act,
1908, the value of the lands for the purposes of section 67 (d) of
that Act being less than five hundred pounds (£500).
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing 12 acres 3 roods, more or less,
being the eastern portion of Allotment 93 of the Parish of Parahaki,
Block IX, Whangarei Survey District, bounded on the north by
Allotment 91 (462 links), bounded on the east by Allotment 92
(2920 links), bounded on the south by a public road (558 links),
and on the west by the western portion of Allotment 93 (2607 links),
and being part of the land described in an unregistered Crown
grant dated the 15th day of February, 1892, the grantee whereof
is George Miller, of Auckland, Settler.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and
authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust
Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the
Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Sydney Alexander
Gibson, of the Public Trust Office, Dunedin, to be deputy of the
District Public Trustee, Dunedin, during the absence of such District
Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous
Warrants appointing any deputy of the said District Public Trustee
have been revoked.
