- Computation of Charges
Paragraph 3: By omitting subparagraph (b), and substituting the following:—
(b) Where goods are chargeable at a local rate which exceeds the classified rate, or, on actual or half-cubic measurement at a local rate, the prescribed reduction shall apply, provided that in the case of Class D goods the charge so based shall not be greater than the charge based on the classified rate less the appropriate reduction.
- Live-stock
By omitting paragraphs 2 and 3, and substituting the following:—

The rates specified for Class M apply to H and J live-stock wagons. Hc and Jc live-stock wagons will be charged the classified rates plus one-third. S and T bogie live-stock wagons will be charged double the classified rates. Except in the case of calves fourteen days old and under conveyed in LA wagons, live-stock conveyed in wagons other than H, Hc, J, Jc, S, or T will be charged as for the number of stock-wagons of the appropriate type that would have been required to transport the consignment. Calves fourteen days old and under conveyed in LA wagons will be charged two-thirds of the classified truck rate (Class M).

Paragraph 1: By adding to the schedule of minimum loads the following:—
Reinforced concrete mining-props .. .. 6 10 15

- Class Q
Paragraph 2: By omitting the word “stakes,” and substituting the words “fencing stakes.”
- Motor-vehicles and Carriages
By omitting paragraph 11, and substituting the following:—
- (a) Motor-vehicles conveyed under the provisions of this regulation are carried at owner’s risk, and the provisions of Regulation 110 shall apply thereto and to any equipment recognized as the ordinary equipment of a motor-vehicle, including such articles as spare parts, wheels, tires, tools, and cushions, attached to or contained in a motor-vehicle received for carriage. When request is made for carriage at railway risk, particulars of such equipment must be set out on the consignment-note, and such equipment and other readily detachable accessories must be locked in the vehicle or packed in a separate package.
(b) The detachable parts and equipment of a motor-vehicle, when packed in a separate package, will be carried free of charge in a separate wagon.
- Fresh Fruit, Fresh Vegetables, Mushrooms, and Nuts
By adding the following new paragraph:—
3A. The maximum charges for goods liable to damage by crushing conveyed under the provisions of paragraph 1 of this regulation and packed in cardboard or strawboard boxes, will be rate and a quarter of the maximum charges specified in paragraph 1 hereof.
- Boats for use at Regattas
By adding the following new paragraph:—

Where a check wagon is used for a boat (or boats) consigned under the provisions of this regulation, the charge for such check wagon will not exceed the charge for the boat (or boats) as provided in paragraph 1 hereof.

Locomotive Engines
By adding the following new paragraph:—

The Department accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage to or defect in any locomotive engine running on its own wheels which occurs or develops whilst the locomotive engine is in the possession of the Department and which results from the movement of the locomotive or from the management, operation, or control of the locomotive by the Department’s staff.

Paragraph 34: By omitting—
Parcels exceeding 28 lb. in weight will be charged at the rates for ordinary goods (paragraph 57 hereof).
By adding—
Each parcel exceeding 28 lb. in weight will be charged separately at the rates for ordinary goods (paragraph 57 hereof).
