CROWN LANDS NOTICES
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 3rd February, 1947.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Friday, 14th March, 1947.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Tuesday, 18th March, 1947, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.
Discharged servicemen, and the wives or widows of servicemen or discharged servicemen, have preference over all other classes of applicants.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND
Bay of Islands County.—Omapere Survey District
SECTIONS 11 and 15, Block IV: Area, 365 acres 3 roods 17 perches. Capital value, £190. Deposit on deferred payments, £20. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments (term: twenty years), £7 1s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £7 12s.
Weighted with £110 for improvements, comprising grassing and fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £10, the balance may be paid over twenty years by half-yearly instalment, £4 3s. 1d., principal and interest combined.
These sections are situated on the Okaihau-Kerikeri Road, eight miles from Okaihau. The land is easy undulating to hilly, practically all ploughable; 30 acres have been cleared and grassed, the balance being in scrub and fern with some gorse. The soil is brown rubble clay on semi-volcanic formation; watered by running stream.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 4th February, 1947.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 10th March, 1947.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, on Wednesday, 12th March, 1947, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.
NOTE.—This land is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924, which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface soil only.

This is a building-site situated half a mile from Cape Foulwind Post-office, seven miles from Westport Railway-station, and half a mile from Cape Foulwind School.
