Authorizing the Purchase by the Marlborough Electric-power Board of the Electric Works of the Borough of Picton

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of October, 1947
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the purchase, on the terms and conditions set forth in the agreement hereinafter referred to, by the Marlborough Electric-power Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board) of the electric works, the property of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Picton (hereinafter referred to as the Borough), as described in a certain agreement (hereinafter referred to as the agreement) bearing date the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and made between the Board of the one part and the Borough of the other part, of which agreement a copy has been deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.

Authorizing the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Franklin Electric-power Board and the Franklin Electric-power Board to invest Moneys in certain Local-body Securities

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of October, 1947

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1927 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the investment in debentures of the Auckland City Council of the sum of fifteen hundred pounds (Β£1,500) received in terms of section twenty-two of the said Act by the Depreciation Fund Commissioners of the Franklin Electric-power Board, and the sum of seven hundred pounds (Β£700) in terms of section thirty of the said Act by the Franklin Electric-power Board.

Amending an Order in Council apportioning Representation on the Thames Valley Electric-power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of October, 1947
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-fourth day of the same month, at page 512, amending the apportionment of representation on the Thames Valley Electric-power Board, and revoking a previous Order in Council by deleting from the Schedule thereto the constituent district of the Town District of Putaruru and substituting therefor the constituent district of the Borough of Putaruru; and, further, doth hereby determine that the constituent districts of the Boroughs of Matamata and Putaruru are hereby constituted a combined district for the purposes of the said Act, and that the local authority of the Borough of Matamata shall be the principal local authority of the said combined district; and, further, doth hereby determine that the said combined district shall have one representative on the Thames Valley Electric-power Board; and, further, doth hereby determine that the first election of the representative of the said combined district shall be held on the date of the next general election of the said Board.

Revoking a Previous Order in Council and apportioning Representation on the Golden Bay Electric-power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of October, 1947
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke,
as from the date of the first general election of the representatives of the constituent districts of the Golden Bay Electric-power District, the Order in Council dated the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and published in the Gazette on the ninth day of the same month, determining the number of members of the Golden Bay Electric-power Board, and doth hereby determine in lieu thereof that on and after the said date the number of representatives of each constituent district on the said Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district; and doth further determine that the first election of the representatives of the said constituent districts shall be held on the nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street (Extension of Lytton Street), in the Borough of Rotorua, of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of October, 1947

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Rotorua Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet but not less than fifty feet.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Auckland Land District, Borough of Rotorua, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 12.6 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4, D.P. 2494, being part Section 31, Suburbs of Rotorua. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125963, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the New Plymouth Borough Council on the seventeenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, viz.:-
"The New Plymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of New Plymouth, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the northern side of the portion of an unnamed street adjoining Lot 4, part Lot 1, D.P. 2708, part Section 88, Fitzroy District, Town of New Plymouth, Certificate of Title, Volume 117, folio 210 (Taranaki Registry);";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the portion of unnamed street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE
THE northern side of all that portion of unnamed street situated in the Taranaki Land District, Borough of New Plymouth, fronting parts Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 2708, being part Section 88, Fitzroy District, part of the said Lot 2 being more particularly shown as Lot 4 on D.P. 4807. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125761, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
