A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125886, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of October, 1947.

Pursuant to section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

Constituting the Borough of Mount Roskill

A PROCLAMATION
Whereas in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred and thirty-five of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that the area comprising the Road District of Mount Roskill as described in the said petition be constituted a new borough: And whereas, in pursuance of section twenty-four of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, the said petition was referred to the Local Government Commission:
And whereas, in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, the Local Government Commission has approved the proposal to constitute the said area a borough as a final scheme bearing date the twenty-ninth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Local Government Commission Act, 1946, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be constituted a borough, that the name of such borough shall be the Borough of Mount Roskill, and that the number of Councillors of the said borough shall be eight, exclusive of the Mayor:
And I do further proclaim and declare that Johan Herbert Raymond Reich shall be the Returning Officer to conduct the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough, that the said Johan Herbert Raymond Reich shall be the Town Clerk and the person to prepare the roll of electors for the purpose of the said first election, and that the roll of electors in force in the district hereby constituted a borough shall, subject to such modifications as may be necessary, continue in force for the purposes of the said election:
And I do further proclaim and declare that the first election of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough shall be held on Wednesday, the nineteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and that the first meeting of the Council of the said borough shall be held on Tuesday, the ninth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, at seven-thirty o'clock in the afternoon, in the office of the Road Board, Mount Albert Road, Three Kings, Auckland:
And, lastly, I do proclaim and declare that the constitution of the said Borough of Mount Roskill shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.
SCHEDULE
BOROUGH OF MOUNT ROSKILL
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the southern extremity of the eastern boundary of Allotment 75, Parish of Titirangi, on the Manukau Harbour; thence along the boundary of the City of Auckland, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1939, at page 1828, to and along the boundary of the Borough of Mount Albert, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1924, at page 2072, to the Borough of Mount Eden, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1925, at page 2912; thence along the southern boundary of the Borough of Mount Eden aforesaid to the boundary of the City of Auckland aforesaid, and along that boundary to the intersection of Pa Road and Manukau Road; thence along the boundary of the Borough of One Tree Hill, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1939, at page 3554, to and along the western boundary of the Borough of Onehunga, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1936, at page 1535, to the intersection of the western side of Pleasant Street with the southern side of Trafalgar Street; thence along the southern side of Trafalgar Street to Queenstown Road; thence along the eastern side of Queenstown Road to Summer Street; thence along a right line, being a continuation of the northern side of Summer Street, to the western side of Queenstown Road; thence along the said western side of Queenstown Road to Frederick Street; thence along the northern and western sides of Frederick Street to the Manukau Harbour; thence along the Manukau Harbour to the point of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of October, 1947.

A PROCLAMATION
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the public-school site described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said public-school site.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the public-school site described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said public-school site.
