It is hereby notified that the orders of adoption as set out in the
Schedule hereunder have been made by the Native Land
Court under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1931.

Election of Member of Westland Land Board

I, HERBERT MILLETT LAWREY, Returning Officer for the
election of a member of the Westland Land Board, do hereby
notify in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land
Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, that the only
person nominated to fill the vacancy occurring on the said Board
was—
William Clayton, Esquire, of Ahaura.
And I do therefore hereby declare that the said William
Clayton is duly elected a member of the Westland Land Board for
a term of three years as from 17th September, 1947.

CROWN LANDS NOTICE
Education Reserve in North Auckland Land District for Lease
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 16th September, 1947.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education
reserve is open for lease under the provisions of the Education
Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908;
and applications will be received at the North Auckland District
Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Friday,
17th October, 1947.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on
Tuesday, 21st October, 1947, at 10 o'clock a.m., but if any
applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other
Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required
to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the first half-year's rent,
broken-period rent, and lease fee.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVE
Whangarei County.—Maungakaramamea Parish
ALLOTMENTS N.E. 83 and S.E. 83 : Area, 136 acres 2 roods
24 perches. Annual rent, £10 5s.
This property is situated eleven miles from Whangarei, one mile
and a half from the Mangapai Post-office and School, two miles and
a half from the Mangapai Railway-station, and four miles and a half
from the Maungakaramamea Saleyards. Access is by a good metalled
road. The property comprises undulating to hilly gum country in
scrub with a great deal of scattered gorse. The soil is of pipe clay
resting on clay and sandstone formation; it is poorly watered by
a swampy creek.
Form of lease may be perused and any further particulars
may be obtained at the office of the undersigned.
