Price Order No. 763 (Amendment No. 1 of Price Order No. 680)
(Cream sold to Cream-vendors)
PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal, acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 763, and shall be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 680† (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 1st day of October, 1947.
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows :
    (a) By omitting subclause (2) of clause 3, and substituting the following subclause :
    "(2) References in this Order to milk districts are references to the following milk districts :—
    Ashburton, Auckland Metropolitan, Balclutha, Blenheim, Bluff, Bulls-Sanson, Cambridge, Christchurch Metropolitan, Dannevirke, Dunedin Metropolitan, Eltham, Feilding, Foxton, Gisborne, Gore, Greymouth, Hamilton, Hawera, Hutt Valley and Bays Metropolitan, Invercargill, Kaiapoi-Rangiora, Kaponga, Levin, Lyttelton, Manaia, Motueka, Napier-Hastings, Nelson, New Plymouth, Ngaruawahia, Oamaru, Opotiki, Orepuki, Otaki, Palmerston North Metropolitan, Patea, Raetihi, Riverton, Rotorua, Stratford, Tauranga, Te Awamutu, Temuka, Te Puke, Timaru, Waikouaiti, Waimate, Waipukurau, Wanganui, Wellington (West Coast), Westport, Whakatane, Whangarei, Winton, and Wyndham, being the districts defined in the respective Price Orders relating to milk for the time being in force with respect for those districts."
    (b) By omitting clause 4, and substituting the following clause :
    "(4) This Order applies with respect to cream sold to a cream-vendor for sale by way of retail in any milk district to which this Order applies during the months January to December (inclusive) in any year."

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the County of
Awatere, taken on the 3rd day of September, 1947, on the proposal of the Awatere County Council to borrow the sum of seven thousand pounds (£7,000), for the purpose of purchasing road construction and maintenance machinery—

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 45
