Revoking a Proclamation declaring Land taken for a Government Work, and not required for that Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 38 of the tenth day of the same month, at page 848, declaring land taken for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, to be Crown land.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1947.

Crown Land set apart for Buildings of the General Government in the Borough of Gisborne

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for buildings of the General Government; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 38·95 perches.
Being part Lot 22, D.P. 138, part Section 201, Gisborne Suburban.
Situated in the Borough of Gisborne (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 4246.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 116922, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of September, 1947.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 35 perches.
Being part Kopuapounama Stream-bed.
Situated in Block XV, Matakaoa Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 4390.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125530, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a postmaster's residence; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of public reserve set apart: 1 rood 34·6 perches.
Being part Section 10, Block II, Town of Taihape.
Situated in Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District (Borough of Taihape). (S.O. 21522.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125897, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

By virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Westland Land District, Grey County, containing by admeasurement 3,060 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks X, XI, and XV, Hohonu Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north and west by Reserve 1182 (Scenic), Block X, Hohonu Survey District; again towards the north generally by the Lake Brunner Road, the left-bank of the Eastern Hohonu River, by a public road, and by Sections 2084, 2082, 2487, and 3122, Block XI, Hohonu Survey District; towards the north-east by Section 857, Blocks XI and XII, Hohonu Survey District; towards the east by Reserve 1665 (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1919, page 1288); towards the south by part Reserve 1664 (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1919, page 1288); towards the west by part Reserve 1664 (permanent State forest—Gazette, 1940, page 1785); again towards the west and south by part Reserve 1664 (provisional State forest—Gazette, 1919, page 1288); and again towards the west by part Reserve 1704 (permanent State forest—Gazette, 1940, page 1788). As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 126/73, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of September, 1947.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND CONSERVANCY

ALL those areas in the Westland Land District, Westland County, containing by admeasurement 2,144 acres, more or less (Crown land—460 acres, and provisional State forest—1,684 acres), and described generally as follows:—

All that area of Crown land containing 460 acres, more or less, being Reserve 1896, Block VIII, Turiwhate Survey District.
