THE RIGHT HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the
Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby authorize the Levin Borough Council to permit the
laying-off of the proposed streets (Wilton Street and Power Street
Extensions) described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than
sixty-six feet but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition
that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected
on Lots 1 to 16 (inclusive) of a subdivision of Section 53, Levin
Village Settlement (as shown on the plan referred to in the Schedule
hereto), within a distance of forty feet from the centre-line of
Wilton Street Extension or on Lots 17 to 29 (inclusive) of a sub-
division of Section 53, Levin Village Settlement (as shown on the
said plan), within a distance of forty feet from the centre-line of
Power Street.
SCHEDULE
That proposed street (extension of Wilton Street) in the Wellington
Land District, Borough of Levin, containing by admeasurement
2 roods 28·8 perches, more or less, being part Section 53, Levin
Village Settlement.
Also all that proposed street (extension of Power Street) in the
said land district and borough, containing by admeasurement
2 roods 28·8 perches, more or less, being part Section 53, Levin
Village Settlement.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan

Authorizing Rudolph Wilhelm Lublow, of Murchison, Farmer, to
use Water for the Purpose of generating Electricity and to erect
certain Electric Lines

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
September, 1947

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, doth hereby grant to Rudolph Wilhelm
Lublow, of Murchison, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee),
a licence subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to obstruct,
impound, or divert the waters of an unnamed stream, situated in
Section 7, Block XI, Matiri Survey District, and to take and use
therefrom for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of water
not exceeding 1½ cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay,
construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter
described.
CONDITIONS
- IMPLIED CONDITIONS
The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Water-
power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935
shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except
in so far as the same shall be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
This licence is issued under the Water-power Regulations 1934,
and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935,
the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, and the Radio Interference
Regulations 1934, and to any regulations made or to be made in
amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
- UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of
generating electricity, and shall be taken from the said stream at a
point in Section 7, Block XI, Matiri Survey District, as indicated
on the plan marked S.H.D. 2, deposited in the office of the Minister
in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department.
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions
hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the
purposes of this licence, the positions of the said works being
indicated on the said plan S.H.D. 2:—
(a) Headworks consisting of an intake giving a static head
of 47 ft. :
(b) Water-race and pipe-lines leading from a point in the said
stream in the said Section 7 to the power-house herein-
after described :
(c) Pelton wheel and power-house in the said Section 7 with all
necessary equipment for generating electricity :
(d) Tail-race leading from the said power-house to the said
stream :
(e) Electric lines leading from the said power-house across
Section 7, Block XI, Matiri Survey District, and across
and along a public road to the licensee’s cow-shed and
wool-shed situated in the said Section 7, thence across
a public road to the licensee’s dwelling situated in
Section 6, Block XI, Matiri Survey District, the said
lines being more particularly delineated by black lines
on the aforesaid plan S.H.D. 2.
- DURATION OF LICENCE
This licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of
March, 1968, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-
power Board or other public source of supply, whichever is the
ter.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (d) of
clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The
generating voltage and the transmitting voltage shall be
approximately 230 volts direct current.
- RENTAL
For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable
in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable
maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting
Engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and, failing such
installation, the rental shall be determined on the maximum capacity
of the generating plant installed. The present plant is rated at
3 kilowatts.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Southland County Council

At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve
for the public service of the province, and is vested in the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Southland,
in trust, for a gravel-pit :
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land
as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Southland
County Council has duly consented to such cancellation :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the
vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County
of Southland of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less,
being part Section 12, Block I, Invercargill Hundred, and bounded
as follows: Commencing at a point on the north-western boundary
of Section 12, Block I, Invercargill Hundred, the said point being
200 links south-west of the north-eastern corner of the said Section
12; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 160° 49′ a
distance of 500 links; thence in a south-westerly direction on a
bearing of 250° 49′ a distance of 200 links; thence in a north-
westerly direction on a bearing of 340° 49′ a distance of 500 links
to the Invercargill–Gore State Highway; thence in a north-
easterly direction along the said highway a distance of 200 links
to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid distances a
little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1537, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.
