distance 7767 links ; thence south-easterly along right lines
bearing 169° 44' distance 10266 links, and bearing 169° 05'
distance 3508 links, as shown on the aforesaid plan ; thence along
the western boundary of part Pouakani B No. 11 Block, to and
along the northern boundary of Maraeroa A 3A Block to a point
being the intersection of the said northern boundary with the
right line between Trig. Station No. 1641, Rangitoto, in Block IV,
Pakaumanu Survey District, and the source of the Ongarue River
in Block VII, Hurakia Survey District ; thence south-easterly
along the said right line to the source of the Ongarue River ;
thence westerly generally down the middle of the said river to a
point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua
No. 54A 2 Block ; thence along a right line to and along the said
north-eastern boundary, the north-eastern boundaries of Rangi-
toto-Tuhua Nos. 36A 1B 2B 2B and 36A 1B 2B 2A Blocks, the north-
eastern and north-western boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 36A
1B 2B 1 Block, to and along the eastern and northern boundaries
of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 37B 3 Block, crossing the intersecting
Waimiha River, the northern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua

along the generally eastern boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 68E 1
Block, Section 3, Block II, Mapara Survey District, and again the
eastern boundary of the aforesaid No. 68E 1 Block, crossing the
intervening Aramatai and Mokau Roads, and a right line being
the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Mokau
River ; thence north-westerly generally down the middle of the
said Mokau River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary
of Section 6, Block VIII, Otanake Survey District ; thence along
a right line crossing a public road, to and along the south-eastern
and northern boundaries of the said Section 6, a right line across
Pukenui Road, to and along the north-western boundaries of
Section 2, Block VII, Otanake Survey District, Pukenui Nos. 2L 4B
and 2L 1B 2 Blocks, and the north-western and western boundaries
of Pukenui 2L 1B 1 Block, and a right line being the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of the said Mokau River ; thence
easterly up the middle of the said river to a point in line with the
north-western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 2D Block ;
thence along a right line to and along the said north-western
boundary, the northern and western boundaries of Rangitoto-
Tuhua No. 2C Block, to and along the north-eastern boundary of
part Maraetaua AA Block, crossing an intervening public road,
to and along the eastern boundary of Maraetaua No. 3B Block,
crossing the intervening Mokau River and the Auckland-Wellington
Main Highway, the northern boundary of the said Maraetaua
No. 3B Block, the eastern boundary of Section 9, Block VI,
Otanake Survey District, the eastern and northern boundaries of
Section 11 of Block VI aforesaid, to and along the south-eastern
boundary of Section 12 of the said Block VI, the south-eastern
and northern boundaries of Section 13 of the said Block VI, a
right line across Troopers Road, and northerly along the western
side of the said Troopers Road to its intersection with the public
road forming the north-western boundary of Section 4 of Block VI
aforesaid ; thence south-westerly along the generally south-eastern
side of that public road to a point in line with the eastern boundary
of Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 24A 2 Block ; thence along a right line
across the said public road, to and along the eastern and northern
boundaries of the said Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 24A 2 Block, the
northern and western boundaries of Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 24A 1
Block, the western boundary of Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 20B 2
Block, to and along the northern boundary of Kinohaku East
No. 2 No. 20B 1 and the northern and south-western boundaries
of the aforementioned No. 20B 2 Block, crossing the intervening
public road, to and along the north-western boundary of Kinohaku
East No. 3D 4 Block, the northern boundary of Kinohaku East

plan numbered 13704, deposited as aforesaid, being parts Kinohaku
East No. 4G 2 Block, and the northern boundary of Kinohaku
East No. 4G 3A Block, the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XI,

Maungamangero Survey District, and a right line, being that
boundary produced to the middle of the Kihikihi Road ; thence
south-westerly along the middle of the said Kihikihi Road to a
point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1 of Section 11,
Block VII, Maungamangero Survey District ; thence along a right
line to and along the said eastern boundary, crossing the inter-
vening Kihikihi Stream, and the eastern boundaries of Lot 2 of
the said Section 11 and Section 6 of the said Block VII, and a
right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the
middle of the Pungarehu Road ; thence westerly along the middle
of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of
Section 5 of Block VII aforesaid ; thence along a right line, to and
along the said eastern boundary, and along another right line being
the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Te Kumi-
Te Anga Main Highway ; thence north-easterly along the middle
of the said main highway to a point in line with the eastern
boundary of Section 5, Block III, of the said Survey District ;
thence along a right line, to and along the said eastern boundary,
and a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of the
Mangarere Stream ; thence down the middle of that stream and the
middle of the Tawarau River to its confluence with the Mangaohae
Stream ; thence up the middle of that stream to a point in line
with the northern boundary of part Section 1, Block II, Maunga-
mangero Survey District ; thence along a right line, crossing a
public road, to and along the said northern boundary and the
northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 5 of Block II aforesaid,
and Sections 2 and 7 of Block I of the said survey district, and
a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across a
public road, to and along the generally eastern, northern, and
western boundaries of Section 3 of Block I aforesaid, the north-
western boundary of Section 4 of the said Block I, the north-
eastern boundary of Section 3, Block II, Whareorino Survey District,
the abutment of a public road, the eastern and north-eastern
boundaries of part Section 2, Block VI, Marokopa Survey District,
to and along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 2B
of Block VI aforesaid, a right line across a public road, to and
along the north-eastern boundary of Section 16 of the said Block VI,
and the abutment of a public road to the shores of the Tasman Sea ;
thence northerly generally along the said shores to Urawitiki Point,
being the point of commencement. As the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 8, deposited in the
office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric
Department, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of August, 1947.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest

A PROCLAMATION

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the
Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State
forest.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.- WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, Ohura County,
containing by admeasurement 1,477 acres, more or less, and being
Sections 5 and 8, Block VII, Aria Survey District. As the same
is more particularly delineated on plan No. 52/15, deposited in the
Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. (Taranaki plans S.O. 2742 and 2895L.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal
of that Dominion, this 29th day of July, 1947.
