The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice of Intention to take Land
THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the 2nd day of February, 1948, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 30th day of September, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land containing one hundred and thirty-six (136) acres two (2) roods and twenty-six (26) perches, more or less, being Mangaheia No. 1A No. 1 Block, Block XIII, Uawa Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 33, folio 252 (Gisborne Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing ninety (90) acres three (3) roods and twenty-four (24) perches, more or less, being Lot 2 of Mangaheia No. 1A No. 2 Block and Lot 2 of Mangaheia No. 1A No. 3 Block on Deposited Plan No. 1063, Block XIII, Uawa Survey District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 35, folio 289 (Gisborne Registry).

Result of Poll: Collingwood Reticulation Loan No. 1, £23,000
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of that part of the Golden Bay Electric-power Board's District described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 43, dated 21st June, 1945, page 805, was taken on Wednesday, the 18th day of June, 1947, on the proposal of the Board to raise a special loan of £23,000 for the purpose of reticulating the Bainham, Rockville, Ferntown, and Collingwood Township areas within Collingwood County.

The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
