IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of W. R. McGrath, Limited (in Voluntary Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the minute-book pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, and dated 18th July, 1947, the following extraordinary resolutions were passed:
“(1) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities carry on business and that it be wound up.”
“(2) That Norbert G. Foley, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.”
Pursuant to section 300 (7) of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a meeting of creditors will be held at the offices of Norbert G. Foley, Druids Chambers, Woodward Street, on Monday, 28th July, 1947, at 2.15 p.m.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION

FREDERICK JOHN GARRATT LISHMAN, M.B., B.S. (Lond.), 1929, M.D. (Hygiene) (Lond.), 1935, now residing in Gisborne, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 15th August, 1947, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE

In the Warden’s Court at Lawrence NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to the Warden at Lawrence by Bruce Woollen Manufacturing Company, Limited, for a licence for water-race to divert fourteen heads for industrial purposes, commencing in North Branch, Tokomairiro River, about 9·7 chains in a north-north by easterly direction from boundary between Sections 131 and 132, Block XVI, Tokomairiro Survey District, and about 3·4 chains in a south-east by easterly direction from the north-west boundary of said Section 131 ; thence running southerly 30·8 chains through said Section 131 (Crown land occupied by James Shanks, David William Lyon, and James Henry Wilkin, as lessees) and through Allotment 10 on L.T. plan No. 2721, said district, owned by applicant, and terminating in said Allotment 10 about ¼ chain south of the southern boundary of the Main Trunk railway-line at Milton.
And that such application will be heard in the Warden’s Court at Lawrence on Monday, 18th August, 1947, at 11.15 a.m.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar’s Office and notified to applicant at least three days before the time so appointed.

In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District (Wellington Registry).
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of EQUIPMENT LIMITED, a private company under the said Act.
NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court made at Wellington on Tuesday, the 15th day of July, 1947, confirming the reduction of capital of the above-named company from £4,000 to £2,000, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned statute, were registered by the Registrar of Companies at Wellington on Thursday, the 17th day of July, 1947.
And further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following:
“That the capital of the company is henceforth £2,000 divided into 2,000 shares of £1 each, instead of the former capital of £4,000 divided into 4,000 shares of £1 each.”

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

UNDER the Regulations Act, 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription 30s. per annum in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 25s. (Volumes for years 1940, 1941, and 1942 are out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, 42s. per annum in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.
Orders on the subscription basis should be placed now with the Government Printer, Wellington. Separate copies may be purchased at the Chief Post-offices at Auckland, Christchurch, or Dunedin.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

SUBSCRIPTIONS.--The subscription is at the rate of £3 3s. per annum, including postage, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE.
Single copies of the Gazette as follows:
Ordinary Weekly Gazette : For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes : For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
