Manufacture for Sale of Footwear

Auckland Footwear Repair Co., Ltd., 332 Broadway, Auckland, has applied for a licence to permit stitching and finishing footwear for the trade, including stitching of new footwear.

Pharmacy Industry

J. F. Hinchcliff, 386 Hardy Street, Nelson, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy in premises to be erected at Tahunanui, Nelson.

I. H. Murdock, P.O. Box 139, Nelson, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy in premises to be erected at Tahunanui, Nelson.

C. W. Fraser, Atkinson Crescent, Tamaki Heights, Panmure, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy in premises to be erected at Tamaki Heights, Panmure.

Manufacture for Sale of Paua (Haliotis iris) Shell

J. W. Hackett, 6 Tyndall Street, Lower Hutt, has applied for a licence to manufacture paua shell for sale.

A. E. Robinson, 31 Robertson Road, Avondale, Auckland, has applied for a licence to manufacture paua shell for sale.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

Truck Trailer and Equipment Co., Ltd., has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises in London Street, Hamilton.

R. W. Gowans, 64 Cornwall Street, St. Albans, Christchurch, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from four pumps to be installed on proposed service-station premises at the corner of Page's and Junction Roads, Sandilands, Christchurch.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than the 7th August, 1947, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to the Acting-Secretary, Bureau of Industry, C.P.O. Box 3025, Wellington.

THE following notice, received by the Minister of Finance from the Chairman of the Kaikoura County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Kaikoura, taken on the 2nd day of July, 1947, on the proposal of the above Council to borrow the sum of five thousand pounds (£5,000), for the purpose of meeting the Council's share of the cost of the erection of the Kahutara, Lynton, and Kekerangu Bridges-

Votes.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . . . 254 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was . . . . 82 I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
