Crown Land in Canterbury Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919

A PROCLAMATION
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.-LYNDON SURVEY DISTRICT Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Section 4, Hanmer Town Area: Area, 3 roods 7 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of July, 1947.

Crown Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest

A PROCLAMATION
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.-NELSON CONSERVANCY ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Buller County, containing by admeasurement 787 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, and being part Section 82, Block XIV, and parts of Sections 78, 79, and 80, Block XV, Oparara Survey District : Bounded towards the north by a public road; towards the east by a public road, and by Section 35, Block XV aforesaid ; towards the south generally by a public road, and by the other parts of Sections 80, 79, 78, Block XV aforesaid, and by the other part of Section 82, Block XIV aforesaid ; and towards the west by Section 81, Block XIV aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 101/11, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of July, 1947.

Amending an Order in Council authorizing the Picton Borough Council to erect Electric Lines

FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of July, 1947 Present : HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-seventh day of the same month, at page 1765, authorizing the Picton Borough Council to lay, construct, put up, place, and use certain electric lines, by deleting clause five of the conditions and substituting therefor the following clause :- "5. DURATION OF LICENCE "Unless sooner lawfully determined, this licence shall continue in force until the 22nd day of June, 1950, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other general public source of supply or until the Marlborough Electric-power Board shall have completed the purchase of the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto, whichever is the earliest."

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Bridge Street, in the Borough of Ashburton, of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1947 Present : HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Ashburton Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said street within a distance of forty-eight feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of Ashburton, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 22.6 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 882, part Rural Section 5800. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125628, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to a Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land in Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, being taken for Better Utilization B. C. FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1947 Present : HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held by the Titahi Bay Golf Club (Incorporated) from Frederick William Ongley, George Percival Middleton, and William Nicholas Ryan for a term of ten years from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, under and by virtue of an unregistered memorandum of lease dated the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, being taken for better utilization.
SCHEDULE APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land in respect of which the lease-hold estate or interest is permitted to be taken : 1 acre 1 rood 26.34 perches. Being part of the land in D.P. 9478, part Subdivisions 8 and 9, Koangaaumu Block, Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 464, folio 187 (Wellington Land Registry).

FREYBERG, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July, 1947 Present : HIS EXCELLENGY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section one hundred and twelve of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Feathers-ton County, known as Purakau Farm Settlement Road, com-mencing at its junction with Ashby Road at the south-western corner of Section 5, Block VII, Wairarapa Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally, adjoining Sections 4 and 5 and part Section 8, Block VII, Wairarapa Survey District (Purakau Farm Settlement), and terminating at a point 37 chains from the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125748, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
