Cancelling the Vesting in Trustees of a Reserve for a site for a Public Hall

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of January, 1947
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in trustees, in trust, for a site for a public hall by virtue of a Warrant dated the twenty-sixth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-six, and published in the Gazette of the twelfth day of March of that year:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the trustees have duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in trustees of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Horowhenua East Village Settlement, Wellington Land District

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of January, 1947

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a site for a mental hospital:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for a site for a horticultural research station:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a site for a mental hospital to a reserve for a site for a horticultural research station.

ALL that area situated in Block V, Waiopehu Survey District, containing by admeasurement 33 acres 2 roods and 36 perches, more or less, being Section 56, Horowhenua East Village Settlement.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Winchester Township, Canterbury Land District

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for a railway-station: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a railway-station to a reserve for public buildings of the General Government.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the assignment to Leslie Arthur Johnson, of Maruia, Farmer, by Albert Oscar Harris, of Minehaka, Murchison, Farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, and published in the Gazette on the thirteenth day of the same month, at page 935, authorizing the said Albert Oscar Harris to use water for the purpose of generating electricity.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint William Samuel Cox, Frank John Stretton, Kenneth Caie, Henry Theodore Penrhys-Evans, and Noal Innes Paton to be the Waitakaruru Domain Board having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-second day of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, at half past one o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Waitakaruru Domain Pavilion, as the place where the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
