Waikato Coal-mines Control Emergency Regulations 1942.—
Appointment of Member of Board of Control

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
upon me by the Waikato Coal-mines Control Emergency
Regulations 1942, I, Angus McLagan, Minister of Mines, do hereby
appoint

Herbert Peden, Northern Miners’ Union,

to be a member of the Waikato Coal-mines Control Board, vice
George Lawson, resigned.

Notice of Intention to take Land for Better Utilization in Block V,
Otahuhu Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 30 of the Finance
Act (No. 2), 1945, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto
for better utilization : And notice is hereby further given that the
plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office
at Onehunga and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons
affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any
well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the
same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the
first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at
Wellington.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 1 rood
22·1 perches.
Being Lot 14, D.P. 4603, and being part Allotment 31 of Small
Farms near Onehunga, and being the whole of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 164, folio 275
(Auckland Land Registry).

In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125744,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VIII, Maketu Survey
District, for Broadcasting Purposes

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions
of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public
work—to wit, the construction of a transmitting station—and for
the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken : And notice is hereby further given
that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
post-office at Paengaroa and is there open for inspection ; and that
all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking
of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the
Minister of Works at Wellington,
