Appointment of Honorary Officers
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 29 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1946, I, James O'Brien, Minister of Marine, do hereby appoint the persons named in the following Schedule to the Honorary Officers for the acclimatization districts shown in such Schedule for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, such persons to hold office until the 31st March, 1950.

to be Registrar of Brands for the Hawke's Bay and Waipawa Branding Districts for the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, on and from the 1st day of May, 1947.
Edwin James Grovenor Price
to be Receiver of Land Revenue for the Wellington Land District and Deputy Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Wellington Land District for the purposes of the Land Act, 1924, on and from the 3rd day of June, 1947.
Philip Wilding Swingland Anderson
to be Deputy Registrar of the Land Sales Court, pursuant to section 9 of the Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, on and from the 25th day of June, 1947.
Sergeant Raymond Francis Leith
to be Clerk and Bailiff of the Magistrates' and Wardens' Courts at Alexandra for the purposes of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1928, and Maintenance Officer at the Magistrates' Court at Alexandra for the purposes of the Destitute Persons Amendment Act, 1926, on and from the 19th day of June, 1947.

Notice of Intention to take Land for Housing Purposes in Block II, Maketu Survey District
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Puke and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 3 acres.
Being part Section 51.
Situated in Block II, Maketu Survey District (Auckland R.D.).
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 125473, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 30 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1945, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for better utilization: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Paekakariki and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 50 acres 1 rood 16·7 perches.
Being part Lot 15, D.P. 5751, and being part Sections 6, 21, and 22 of the Wainui District, Block II, Paekakariki Survey District, and being the balance of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 445, folio 285 (Wellington Land Registry).

Notice of Intention to take a Leasehold Estate or Interest in Land in the Borough of Greymouth for Post and Telegraph Purposes (Line Store, Garage, and Workshop)
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a line store, garage, and workshop—and for the purposes of such public work the leasehold estate or interest in the land described in the Schedule hereto and held from the Greymouth Harbour Board by William Thomas Ogilvie, under and by virtue of an unregistered memorandum of lease for a term of twenty-one years commencing on the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land in respect of which the leasehold estate or interest is required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Greymouth and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said leasehold estate or interest in land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such leasehold estate or interest in land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
