The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice fixing Prices of
certain Grades

Office of Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 28th May, 1947.

PURSUANT to Regulation 5 : 1 of the Lemon Marketing
Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per loose
bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons delivered
to the Department during the undermentioned period.

Period of delivery (both days inclusive) : Ist June to 30th
June, 1947 :

Loose packed fresh lemons, Preferred Commercial s. d.
Grade .. .. .. .. .. 10 6
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade .. 9 0
Loose packed fresh lemons, First-grade Peel .. 5 6
Loose packed fresh lemons, Second-grade Peel .. 4 0

Redefining a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area

PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1946, I,
Edward Luttrell Cullen, Minister of Marketing, being satisfied
that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined
in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared
to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby
declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf
Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under
the name set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby further
declare that this notice shall take effect on the 12th day of June,
1947.

SCHEDULE

HUNTLY WEST BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA
ALL that area of land lying within the Raglan and Waikato Counties
and bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of
Section Part 61, Block VII, Rangiriri Survey District, on the
shore-line of Lake Roto Ngaro ; thence in a southerly direction
following along the said lake shore-line to the north-eastern corner
of Section 4, Block VII, Rangiriri Survey District; thence in a
straight line across country in a south-easterly direction to the
northernmost point of the Okowhai Lake shore-line; thence
continuing in a straight line across country in a south-easterly
direction to the north-western corner of Section 20, Block XII,
Rangiriri Survey District, on the Hakanoa Lake shore-line; thence
following the Hakanoa Lake shore-line in a southerly direction to
the north-western corner of Section 19, Block XII, Rangiriri Survey
District; thence in a straight line across country in a southerly
direction to a point on the eastern bank of the Waikato River at
the south-eastern corner of Section 445, Block XVI, Rangiriri
Survey District ; thence following the eastern bank of the Waikato
River upstream to the Ngaruawahia Borough boundary; thence
in a straight line across country in a north-westerly direction to
the south-western corner of Block III, Newcastle Survey District;
thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of
Blocks II and I, Newcastle Survey District, to the south-western
corner of the said Block I ; thence in a northerly direction along
the western boundaries of Blocks I, XIII, and IX, Newcastle and
Rangiriri Survey Districts, to the north-western corner of the said
Block IX ; thence in an easterly direction along the northern
boundary of Block IX, Rangiriri Survey District to the north-
eastern corner of the said Block IX ; thence in a northerly direction
along the western boundary-line of Block VI, Rangiriri Survey
District, to the eastern shore-line of the Whangape Lake ; thence
following the said lake shore-line in a generally northerly and
easterly direction to the north-western corner of Section 3, Block
VI, Rangiriri Survey District; thence in an easterly direction
along the northern boundary of the said Section 3 to the western
shore-line of Lake Roto Ngaro ; thence in, firstly, an easterly and
then southerly direction following along the northern and eastern
shore-lines of Lake Roto Ngaro to the north-western corner of
Section Part 61, Block VII, Rangiriri Survey District, being the
original point of commencement.

Stock Exchange

HIS Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been
pleased to approve of the following amendment to the
rules of the Auckland Stock Exchange.

  1. That Rule 34 be amended by omitting the figure " £40" at
    the end of subsection (a) thereof, and substituting therefor the

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Otoro-
hanga Town Board, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

OTOROHANGA TOWN BOARD

Notice of Result of Poll on a Proposal to raise a Loan

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I
hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Town
District of Otorohanga, taken on the 20th day of May, 1947, on a
proposal of the Otorohanga Town Board to borrow the sum of
£9,000 for the purpose of forming, metalling, and sealing roads in
the Town District (estimated to cost £5,000), and for constructing
concrete footpaths in the Town District (estimated to cost £4,000)—

Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 115
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 30
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Price Order No. 717 (Amending Price Order No. 561) (Symington's
Essence of Coffee and Chicory)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of
Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal,
acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Com-
merce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order :-

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 717, and shall
    be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 561†
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 9th day of June,
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended as follows:-
    (a) By omitting from subclause (1) of clause 4 all words after
    the words "shall be—", and substituting the following
    words :-
    “For 8 oz. bottles .. 19s. 4d. per dozen.”
    (b) By omitting from clause 5 all words after the words “shall
    be—”, and substituting the following words :-
    “For 8 oz. bottles sold in three-
    dozen lots or more .. 21s. ld. per dozen,
    plus sales tax.
    “For 8 oz. bottles sold in less
    than three-dozen lots .. 21s. 7d. per dozen,
    plus sales tax.”
    (c) By omitting from paragraph (a) of clause 6 all words after
    the words “shall be—”, and substituting the following
    words :-
    “For 8 oz. bottles .. 2s. 4d. each.”

Galvanized Corrugated Roofing Iron)

PURSUANT to the powers conferred on it by the Control of
Prices Emergency Regulations 1939,* the Price Tribunal,
acting with the authority of the Minister of Industries and Com-
merce, doth hereby make the following amending Price Order:-

  1. This Order may be cited as Price Order No. 718, and shall
    be read together with and deemed part of Price Order No. 154†
    (hereinafter referred to as the principal Order).
  2. This Order shall come into force on the 9th day of June,
  3. The principal Order is hereby amended by adding the
    following clause:-
    “4. Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing provisions of
    this Order and subject to such conditions, if any, as it thinks fit,
    the Tribunal, on application by any person concerned, may authorize
    special maximum prices in respect of any goods to which this Order
    applies where for any reason extraordinary charges (freight or
    otherwise) are incurred. Any authority given by the Tribunal
    under this clause may apply with respect to a specified lot or
    consignment of goods or may relate generally to all goods to which
    this Order applies sold while the approval remains in force.”
