The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.—Notice declaring Land taken for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, notice was given of the intention of the Minister of Lands to take under Part II of the said Act the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the said notice was published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 23 on the lst day of May, 1947, at page 519:

And whereas no objection was made in the manner prescribed by the said Act :

And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of His Majesty's Forces or in any British ship:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 27 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands described in the said Schedule are taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 4th day of June, 1947, as the date on which the said lands shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that parcel of land situate in Blocks VI and X, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement seven hundred and seven (707) acres one (l) rood thirty-five (35) perches, more or less, being Sections llA, 98A, 261, and parts of Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, 108, 287, and 291, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 141, folio 215 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block VI, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement fifty-eight (58) acres three (3) roods sixteen (I6) perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 8 and 9, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 335, folio 245 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Blocks V, VI, and IX, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement four hundred and forty-five (445) acres three (3) roods thirty-four (34) perches, more or less, being Sections 257, 263, and part Section 8, Left Bank, Wanganui River, together with a right-of-way created by Conveyance No. 81867, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 335, folio 247 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block VI, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement twenty-one (21) acres thirty decimal seven eight (30-78) perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 12, 13, and 96, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being also part Lot 4, D.P. 979, and being the balance of the land comprised in certificate of title, Vol. 103, folio 64 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block VI, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and fifty (150) acres one (1) rood thirty-three decimal seven (33-7) perches, more or less, being parts of Sections. 9, 10, 11, 12, and 24, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and portion of a closed road, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 201, folio 241 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block IX, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and ten (210) acres, more or less, being Section 372, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 16, folio 177 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block IX, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and fifty (250) acres three (3) roods twenty-four (24) perches, more or less, being Sections 264, 275, 277, 373, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 29A, folio 159 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block IX, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and seventy-seven (177) acres one (1) rood and twenty-three (23) perches, more or less, being Section 276, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 19, folio 215 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block IX, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement two hundred and fifty-two (252) acres, more or less, being Sections 258 and 262, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 40, folio 13 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land situate in Block X, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and one (101) acres one (1) rood thirteen (13) perches, more or less, being parts of Section 274, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being all the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 353, folio 11 (Wellington Registry).

Also all that parcel of land in the Wanganui County, situate in Block VI, Ikitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement two (2) roods twenty decimal seven five (20-75) perches, more or less, being part of Section 19, Left Bank, Wanganui River, and being the residue of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 335, folio 292 (Wellington Registry).

The Servicemen's Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943.--Notice of Intention to take Land

THE Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 24 of the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales Act, 1943, hereby gives notice of his intention to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto under Part II of the said Act, and specifies the lst day of July, 1947, as the date on which possession of the land is required, and the 23rd day of June, 1947, as the date on or before which objections may be made under section 25 of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement twenty-four (24) acres three (3) roods twenty-six (26) perches, situated in Block IV, Te Mata Survey District, and Block I, Kidnapper Survey District, part Block 9, Te Mata Crown Grant District, being Lot l on Deposited Plan Registered No. 7211, and being all the land in certificate of title, Vol. 114, folio 69 (Hawke’s Bay Registry).

Appurtenant to the part of the within land formerly comprised in C/T. H.B. 110/215 are the water rights over Lot 1, Plan 3241 (part C/T. H.B. 63/221), granted in and by Transfer 28793 (copied 6th May, 1932.)

Appurtenant to the part of the within land formerly comprised in C/T. H.B. 110/215 is the right-of-way and certain other rights over part of the land in Lease 9705 (part H.B. 114/70) granted or reserved by the said Lease 9705 (term, ten years from 1st February, 1943).

Appurtenant to the part of the within land formerly comprised in C/T. H.B. 110/215 are the rights of entry over the land in Lease 9705 (part C/T. H.B. 114/70) granted or reserved by the said Lease 9705 (term, ten years from 1st February, 1943).

Appurtenant hereto is the right-of-way over Lot 2, Plan 7047 (part C/T. H.B. 110/216), shown coloured blue on the diagram hereon, granted in and by Transfer 75042.

Subject as to part to the water rights thereover appurtenant to Lots 2 and 3, Plan 7047 (C/T. H.B. 110/216), granted in and by Transfer 7504.

Appurtenant to part of the land herein are the water rights over part Lots 2 and 3, Plan 7047 (C/T. H.B. 110/216), granted in and by Transfer 75044.

Subject to the water rights hereover appurtenant to Lot 2, Plan 7211 (C/T. H.B. 114/70), reserved in and by Transfer 78610.

Defining Lands in Auckland Land District (Karakariki Block) to which Water is supplied pursuant to Section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection (5) of section 8 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1939, I, Clarence Farringdon Skinner, Minister of Lands, hereby give notice that the lands defined in the Schedule hereto are lands to which water is supplied under the said section.

SCHEDULE

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the County of Raglan, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Newcastle Survey District, containing by admeasurement a total of 985 acres and 27-4 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 66A, No. 4, of the Parish of Waipa, as shown on the plan numbered 25842, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and Allotments 57, 279, 281, 298, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 307, 308, 309, 310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, and 316 of the said Parish of Waipa. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/1366A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Plants declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Auckland City.--(Notice No. Ag. 4426)

THE following special order made by the Auckland City Council on the 15th day of May, 1947, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER

"In exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule to the said Act as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) are noxious weeds within the City of Auckland.

"Convolvulus (Arvensis).

"Convolvulus (Calystegia sepium)."
